Of our new section I thought I would take short trip and post about it. I left the house about 2pm and decided to cruise down one of the many canopy roads we have here in Tallahassee FL. I got about 10 miles out and decided to look for a boat ramp I had heard of in the area that was suppose to be nice. I ended up taking the wrong road, but hey, thats were adventures begin. This is what I saw after the first 1/4 mile of pavement ended: But, onward I went! A little clay was not gonna stop me. But after 2 miles this is what I was facing: More of the same. So after another mile I decided I had enough. This was mostly hardpack clay. ROUGH hardpack clay. It was like a washboard road with potholes all over. I finally made it back to the main road, and continued my trip. After a few minutes I saw a road with a ramp sign. I had been on the wrong road! Oh well, I turned down the new path and hoped for the best. After about a mile I was rewarded with this veiw: I tried to be artsy in this shot: Granted, its not a grand vista from a mountain top, but for my neck of the woods its not too bad. Even the ride out had nice scenery. Well, I left there and decided to head home and check for any damage from the clay road. To my delight, my bike was no worse for the wear. That was my little Wed. afternoon adventure. I hope you enjoyed, and I hope there are many more adventures posted here.

8-)Thank's for sharing the ride I know what your are talking about with the rough road we still have some streets like that in Kissimmee your pic's were great but for Dawg's who haven't ridden on road's like that can't imagine how rough they are and they are worse after a rain. In my opinon the most beautiful un-touched lake in Fl. is Lake BLUE CYPRESS off rt 60 west of FELSMERE FL.it is 5 mi of road like that to the lake, check for loose filling's and loose part's enjoy the view with all it's natural beauty wildlife, gator's and bird's and then 5 mi back to the hi-way rough but worth the ride.---KEEP ON SCOOTIN!!!

Thanks for the comments guys. I may have a camping trip coming up around the first part of March, so that should be a good writeup. I also have pics from some old trips that i need to sort through. I agree the scenery here is pretty nice, and the best time for it is in the fall or spring. Summer is too hot, and winter kills everything.

I'll have to get some pics done up and posted here on my daily ride in to work.. the scenery along the Saint John river is awesome... I leave early enough to beat the majority of traffic and have the sun rising over to my left for some spectacular sunrises... First we need to get some spring weather up here, still ice fishing shacks on the river, and the forecast is calling for an additional 10cm of snow on Wednesday.... well I guess god made winter for scooter folks so we could have some down time to fix/upgrade the bikes! ;D Cheers Kilted1 Here is a pic from this morning..... we are plus 6 Deg (in C) and we a re expecting freezing rain and an additional 25 cm of snow.... we just received our first 25cm of March snow on Saturday........ we are suppose to be having an early spring, but MArch came in like a Lion..... with any luck it will go out like a lamb....oh please mother nature let us dig our scooters out!
