Oh yeah, I claim it, I'm an Okie, but certainly not from Muskogee! ;D
New member and full of questions, so I dig through the various forums searching for the answers.
My wife owns a CF Moto Fashion 250T and I'm looking at several similar scoots. Namely, the Qlink Commuter (as we know it's record having the Fashion), Bandit's UC250Z, The Strada 300CC model and a couple of others in the $3K price range.
I haven't seen a whole lot on the Strada so if anyone has something to say about them, pipe up!
We had a Baron Dealer here in town, unfortunately, he died a couple of weeks ago, so our source has dried up locally. Looks like I'm going to have to learn a few mechanics after all.
Nice site, and from what I've read so far, very informative.
One last thing, if anyone can recommend a 125cc class scoot for my daughter (15 yo and about 4' 5'') let me know. I'd like to get her up and running on one in the spring.

Yo, Welcome Mr Okie is your name by any chance Cary?! Cary Okie, get it ;D nevermind...
Anyway, as to your real question I believe that Strada seems to be pretty good for the Chinese brand, but I have never ridden one, or even seen one in person, for that matter, but most people seem to be happy with theirs. As for your daughter, I Have a Lance GS-R (150cc) and I am very happy with it, I know that Lance (as well as others, Baron, Bandit, ZNEN...) is made by a factory in China called Zhongneng, with is known for being one of the best in China. I also know that Swampsniper here is very happy with his (also trouble free) Motofino 125 Retro, and will jump on me if I don't mention it ;D j/k, mostly... Both scooters, I believe, have proven to be reliable and of decent quality.
Just to note, you will get more replies if you post this message in either the General Scooters or 125cc And Up. Again, Welcome!

Thanks Aero.
No "Carrie Okie" in this boy anymore. Ages ago, I could sing and did sing for my supper a few times, but these days, I can carry a tune in a bucket and that's about it! ;D
I had planned to post something in the 125 section after I have a chance to read it thoroughly. Some of my questions may already be answered.
Thanks again!
John

Welcome to the dawg pound! scooterollie, one of the moderators here I believe has a Strada 300 Linhia Aeolus (sp) that he may have posted some data on. I have not noticed anything on the Qlink Commuter, but there have been some stuff on the CFMotos, I think most concerned other models of the 250cc, but the Fashion may be represented too, the search thingy might get you more on it.
125cc probably needs to be registered, insured, taxed, all that good stuff and I am certain you know all that better than I. Here in NC a 15 year old can operate a MOPED (under 50cc) legally. I have no idea what your consideratins are, and I ain't asking ;D Personally I ride a highly modified 50cc scooter, and it is certainly not a long distance runner but keeps me out of trouble here in the Charlotte area, fast enough to hang with the traffic and all that good stuff.
Scootertronic.com is one source that carries the 300 Yamaha/Linhai Aeolus that I know of. I am a customer of scootertronics, and a fan of theirs as well, they produced a customized scooter for me, and it is far more than I expected. You can read my posts on that if you like. Michael of scootertronics is a member here. He is as honest as they come and his techs are as good as they get. Well worth a phone call if you are looking for a dealer that is established, honest, and delivers what he promises. OK, enough of the advertisement!
Swampsniper has a Motofino 125cc, and I believe even he is highly impressed with it, from his posts here, it has been basically a trouble free ride. Daelim has had some good reports here too, although it is a bit higher cost and quality than us ChiCom riding peons are used too! ;D
Welcome again, and enjoy the site, we is a friendly pack of dawgies, so just make yourself at home!
