FIRST ANNUAL ANCIENT CITY SCOOTER RALLY Solano Cycle is sponsoring the FIRST ANNUAL ANCIENT CITY SCOOTER RALLY. The rally will include food, scavenger hunt, scooter vendors, giveaways, silent auction, and a scooter ride. Saturday, November 3, 2007, from 11AM-5 PM, weather permitting. This rally is a benefit event for BETTY GRIFFIN HOUSE, a shelter for abused women and their minor children. Carabas Italian Grill is catering the event, free of charge!! Great Eats!! Free Tee shirts, too!! St. Augustine is the oldest permanent European settlement in the USA. It is a super place to just look around, even better if you have a camera. It is a scooter friendly city, with narrow streets, and reasonable traffic. I like it, that's why I've been here for 60 years! Visit www.solanocycle.com, or call 904-825-6766 for registration or information. If that doesn't do it, contact me, and I'll find out. swampsniper2000@yahoo.com

8-)Had it not been for the famous ''SWAMPSNIPER'S post we wouldn't have known about this RALLEY--EVENT--ENCOUNTER. We have not toured ST.AUGUSTINE in many years this should a great opportunity to do a tour of the city and what better way than on scoot's. We made reservations at ANASTASIA STATE PARK for several days to see the area once again. hope to meet DAWG site members there as well as the ''FAMOUS SNIPER'' lol. KEEP ON SCOOTIN!!! Ps. we don't get much news down here in KISSIMMEE and when we do it's week's old.

I just happened to walk in to Solano's looking for a part and they mentioned that the rally was planned, and they would announce it on their site. I asked them if they wanted it to spread fast. They are great folks, but I don't think they know how big the internet scooter fraternity thing is. I'll bet they know now, LOL ;D Let them know you are coming, make sure there is enough food! I would hate to have to fight you over the last bite on the table! ;D

The weather for the rally is predicted to be partly cloudy, mid 70s, no mention of rain in the daylight hours. I sure hope the weatherman is calling it right! ;D

I guess the drought in the South is going to get really bad now. We're OK here, but it is bad in Georgia and Alabama.

Drying out in the panhandle again, looks like a dry winter around here. The blow in the atlantic would be nice to have for the rain but without all the nasty side effects that come with them.

Are you coming? Bunch of scoots out of Live Oak and Tallahassee planning on it, that ride you have would eat up the road.
