How does a semi truck affect you on the interstate? I pull a camper with my truck and I know it sucks you in and then pushes you out. Does this this happen also on a scooter? Um...you actually take your scooter on the interstate? Brave person. Unless you've got something like the Honda Silverwing I'd keep these very light scooters off those roads for your own safety. At minimum you don't have any reserve power if something goes wrong. Bill H. I do take my scooter on the tollway but only for a short jog and at full speed (75mph) 63rd to Ogden on 355 anything more than that would scare the shnitz out of me, but I have no problem doing 65 on a 4 lane in traffic. This post is about rain though and you wouldn't catch me doing that in the rain to save my life.

Got caught in a downpour, was going 55....OOHHH HELLLL NOOOO!!! I slowed to 40 and ran the shoulder till It let up....Not cool at all!!!!! Was wishing I had my big new windshield though....Did I mention the wind was blasting too?... Not to fun, I kept seeing myself sliding down the road on my a@#....Just hadn't rode this scoot long enought to trust it in rain or myself for that matter.....

Looks like I will be hitting the freway in the rain on mine tonight.. No curves but the speed limit is 75 so I have to go 65 at the least. After logging 3000 miles in 3 months I feel ready for the task.

the minute you actually get comfortable riding in the rain is the minute your a$$ will meet the pavement. if you MUST ride in the rain, go VERY VERY slow and make sure your wearing a rain suit, the thicker the rubber is the better. a heavier bike will give you a little more stability in the rain but not much, tire tread quality is also a factor, and give yourself ALOT of room. otherwise just park until it stops.
