does anyone know how to make your mirrors stay in place
my right one is not so bad but the left one gets pushed out of place by the wind if i go fast enough
so if i ever want to see out of it i usually have to adjust it first

Yes, there is a trick to setting them and they are actually pretty good. You let the mirror find its position (let the wind blow it) so it doesn't move around while riding, then you adjust it from the lock down nut instead of moving the mirror itself.
These are notorious for being non-adjustable because when you move them, they move back on their own, unless you do it from the lock down nut and move the entire bar.

If the mirror pivots on a ball at the end of the arm, a hose spacer can be installed to reduce the "arc". As previously posted, the arm still needs to be adjusted to the "blow-back position" . . but the mirror-to-arm angle is less and the boot fits on better. The 5/8"OD x 3/8"ID hose (around $1.50 per foot) in this image was split to slip over the arm, and a dab of silicone sealant was applied to the hose inner surface to hold it in position.

Had a problem with this on my Lance. The whole arm kept pivoting. Had to have it rebolted in the housing with different bolt. Vibration kept making it shake loose. Tom

Best solution I found was buying some really good replacement mirrors, l o n g stems and lock into postion with two lock nuts. Best modification on my highly modified scooter, because these really let me see around 'me' and the safety factor is more than worth the cost!

The cheap scooter mirrors will only show me my shoulders, or at best my 3 and 9 oclock. Seeing behind me would be nice.
