I have a pair of insulated leather work gloves that work great bought them at walmart. I rode to work one cold day without out them just a cheap pair that didnt block the wind thought I had frost bite before I got to work. What ever type you get they must stop all wind first then be insulated.

There are some on my Burgman site who say that wearing rubber gloves under their regular gloves works. It might be worth a try.

I recommend looking at snowmobile stuff to wear. Those guys go one heck of a lot faster than we do and they seem to keep pretty comfy. Tim

I have ridden every which way in cold weather. Thermal underwear, layers, snowmobile suit. You just can't beat an electric vest and a good pair of insulated leather gloves. This is an expensive solution, but if it gets you there in comfort, it's worth it.

my legs, feet and head stay pretty warm (i wear a fleece head and neck cover under my helmet, don't know what they're called) but my big problem was my hands. found these wonderful mittens at the novi, michigan fishing expo show and i think they're made by a company called simms. they are deceptively thin material and they're made out of wind stopper gortex. wind stopper is they're copyrighted name and the stuff really works. just used my mittens today to ride and my fingertips stayed pretty warm. i'm sure i could use a thin pair of gloves underneath when the temps dip below 35. the tops of the mittens pull back when you need the use of fingers.

I just got a pair of 40 gram Thinsulate mittens, and I have some thermal glove liners(made like thermal underwear) that I can wear under the mittens when it gets down in the 20s if I need to.

I think what you need is GoreTex snowmobilling glows. They're pretty long and they're made to get a good grip on the handlebars.
