And if you're not sure that's got their attention, you can let your head rock around like a bobble-head... they ought to notice that!!

And if you're not sure that's got their attention, you can let your head rock around like a bobble-head... they ought to notice that!! Yesterday between rains I went into Eureka to do some grocery shopping. Of course it started raining again, and very heavily. The town is in the mountains and as such we had heavy fog as well. The result was my very nearly having to lay the schwing down because a cage (HUMMER of all things) didn't see me and cut in front of me while I was doing maybe 20 mph. The ABS system worked like a pro but my reaction time was not as good as it should have been. Oh yeah, he was smoking (cig in the mouth) and on the cell phone..typical. IMHO fools like this guy need the extra attention. While this may not have helped him see me I still feel I needed it. So now, I have a head light modulator kit, a back off tailight, and soon a helmet light. And I was wearing a YELLOW rain jacket with a reflective stripes.. Sheesh!

You could have had a 2 million candle power spotlight on and if you hit him, he would still use that classic "I didn't see him" excuse.
Let us know how that goes with the light, it looks to me like a nice thing to stick onto the rear trunk too.

Cool light. If you put one on the top and one on each side of your helmet they'd have to see you coming.

Well This is my first post on here.
I have been riding Motorcycles pretty much all my life.
When I was in the Army I had a little Yamaha Virago 535 that I putted around post on.
Military rules are that if you ride a bike on post you will wear a reflective vest, Gloves, Pants, and Boots.
Well on Post the main road is a 4 lane with no suicide/turning lane. Speed limit was 45 mph. It was the day before Newyears and I was on my way back from picking up a buddy who's car had just blown the engine. well I was going northbound in the furthest left lane. From my right comes a minivan and BLOCKS both lanes of Northbound traffic. I hit my brakes and start feathering the front to try to keep control Next thing I know is I am on the ground....My knee was on fire and I could not get up. I was also under the van.
My passenger told me later what had happened. said we were skidding and the front forks yanked to the left all of a sudden and he went flying the bike threw me and I was sliding on my hands and knees towards the van. The motorcycle's rear tire slammed my knee somehow and I got caught under it and the van.
I was lucky I didn't get thrown into oncoming traffic.
The little Korean woman kept screaming at me that she did not see me.
You have to be aware and be able to take evasive manouvers
I was lucky just had to have my knee drained and road rash treated. My passenger had a broken wrist and I just bent the forks and frame head of the bike.
I learned to be a lot more attentive while riding.
