Hi guys this is my first post in a while. I wanted to do this back in the fall but I have been crazy busy at work(just took over a problem store). Wanted to mention that we had to tighten up my head set bearing(I think that is what is called) My husband finally took it for a short little ride and came back and told me that the noise I was hearing was that. he tightened it and all better. Oh yeah it was on a catalina 150. Hope everyone had a great holiday, and have a happy new year. Can't wait for spring to start riding again! ;D

Hey Monique, thanks for the info, but; could you double check on the location of the "head-set bearings" I myself am lost as to what that is.. is it on the tire, or the steering neck??

Jose the headset bearing refers to the bearings in the steering neck that the fort swivels back and forth on. If that is undertightened it can cause a clunking sound or rattle. If you overtighten it though it can cause hard steering and premature bearing wear.

Here are a couple pictures to give you a better feel for what tightens the steering head bearings Jose. You can see the large nut and lock-nut on the steering stem in this first shot and the second one gives you a bit of an idea where things are in relation to your handle bars. Like ACD mentioned, tightening the bearings too much will cause problems but as you work with it you'll get a feel for what is too tight.
