Hi Guys, great forum here! I live in Miami and finally realized the joys of owning a scooter A buddy bought one of the cheap chinese scooters about two weeks ago and when I heard the price and took a ride... I knew I had to get one. So far my Zhongshen 50cc (and his) have had no major problems, on mine the shop didn't do a great job prepping it so I had to tighten the mirrors and the right brake lever which left me with a bad taste for their skills but not the bike. My bike's gas gauge doesn't work but I will have them fix it for me or do it myself when I get the oil changed in a week or two. They told me it has not be completely derestricted but I can get it up to 35-40mph (indicated, I was paced by a friend on a motorcycle and it looks like it is 2-4mph off on the fast side like most) which is pretty decent, once I have the oil changed they will remove the last restriction and I figure it should go 40-45 which would be about perfect for the traffic here - right now it's a little slow for the major roads. Of course now that I'm reading more about them and enjoying mine I keep thinking about a M lic. and getting a 125 or 150 jobbie that has a little more oomph.
