Hi all! Thanks in advance! I've been riding motorcycles for a while now, but haven't done much in the way of repairs. I was crusin' craigslist last night, and came upon an ad for a 43cc scooter for $60. Catch - needs front fork bearings, new rear drum brake. Oh yeah - it's in pieces in a box.. I paid $40 and took my box home. I've been trying to research this damn thing all day. I'm pretty handy with a shop manual, but I've never even seen one of these things up close, let alone worked in one. Anyway, it's a cheap Chinese POS, similar to the SQ-043 here: www.scooterparts4less.com/SQ043_parts.htmIt has a Zenoah G43L 2-stroke motor, which seems in great shape except the muffler cover is cracked, and the carb cover / air filter / air filter holder are missing. Turns over real easy. I'm at a loss to put this thing back together.. It's literally several plastic bags of nuts and bolts, and every major assembly is off the scoot... Anyone help here? Source for exploded views, or a shop manual? Anyone have something like this you can take some detailed pics for me of? Design-wise, it's looking pretty alright in my head.... -mark

That and others like it are the machines that nearly brought the chinese scooter market to it's knees! They were being marketed as 'scooters.' But promptly disintegrated when anyone past the 3rd grade tried to ride one.
