Ok, Sym's got a 101cc 2T scoot that I'm interested in, so I'm wondering how fast it'll go. My current 50 is only getting about 40MPH, but I know the carb isn't properly tuned, so I should be getting at least 5 more. That said, I suspect that even though the two scoots way the same, the 101cc won't go twice as fast, now will it?

Java I've been wondering the same thing. My guess would be 60 but I have seen no hard numbers anywhere... Manufacturers are you listening??? Send 2-strokes for review!! Java check out Genuine's Rattler "Buck Ten" 110 cc 2T. That looks like it has potential too.

Well, Daelim is out, no dealers in AZ far as I know. As to the Rattler, I remember when pics showed up on the Scooter BBS, and I remember thinking it was a hybrid of two versions, one street, one 'off road', and sadly the latter was a far better looking product. Still, it isn't bad, but I'd prefer it to be more offroad, even ifn knobby tires would be impractical. Nice that they're doing a 110 version of it finally. The Jet Euro 100 is the one I'm really interested in: www.sym-usa.com/scooters_jet_euro.htm

Many years ago I had a Yamaha 100cc twin 2c motorcycle, and it would go about 75mph on a good day. I remember my friend who had a Honda 305 street scramber couldn't pass me but could only keep pace with me at the time. yeah those were the days. Doing 60mph on a 110cc 2c engine powered scooter is about right. Maybe 65 on a good day.

Daelim had the Defino 100cc2 stroke...Im 225lbs and I had it up to 55-57mph. Thing is and I have talked to Daelim recently that they were not going to bring the Defino back in the country because of EPA but now Im hearing they may. If you find one out there its a great scoot.

I have to agree , the Daelim Delfino is the best 100cc 2t. I havent owned one, I bought a daelim 50, but I have ridden many of them and they are the scoot of choice in korea. lots of power, 100 to 110 kmh top speed. Runs all day long at 80kmh
