aliright, ive got some questions for my new 2 stroke.
I recently purchased 2 new baccio runner's. They have the 2-stroke qmb139 engines. im wanting to put a big bore kit, exhaust, intake and carb on these bikes. My question is what carb would you guys recommend (my current carb is a makuni, with electronic choke). Also after putting on the big bore kit, my engine has the auto oil pump for the 2 stroke oil. Will the injection unit automatically adjust for more oil as the air and gas increases with the big bore?

I'm afraid that's not a two stroke engine You are in way over your knowledge base for installing kits. Of course, you can catch up!

how exactly is iit not a 2 stroke engine. im looking at it right now. the baccio runner sport editions DO come with two strokes. either that or its a four stroke that requires two stroke oil to be put in the automatic oiler...

I would go for a slide type carb 20 to 24mm. Get onewith a manual coke. Those auto chokes are infamous for faILLING AND LOGGING THE SCOOTER DOWN.
Just my two cent. I ride 4 stroke but have a 20MM slide type carb on itand it is strong --

on a 2 stroke a slide carb is the way to go. once you kit one of these things the oil injection becomes useless. you will be mixing

I would hand mix removes the chance of burning a motor up.

I didnt say totally removes the chances of locking it up just the chance of having a enjector problem locking you up. lol. I read your tread and followed it close. I just got a two stroke piaggio free 50cc. Its as fast as a 72cc four stroke with out restrictions on either. I am planing on doing a few things big bore kit, intake, carb, exhaust, gears. But it will be a little at a time. Have to replace the crank on my four stroke 82cc (lost a bearing) before tearing into it to much.

Where did you guys find out that baccio's 50cc two stroke engine was a qmb139.I tried researching info on this engine for the last few weeks.Baccio has got everything locked up for dealers only. Its the only thing that really gets on my nerves about this bike.Other than that the bike is great.if you got any info to links or what not I'm looking to find what upgrade parts will fit this bike but no one has Baccio listed.

I've got a Baccio Dlx50. I drive it round trip of 50 miles per day . I've put about 7200 kilometers on it (approx. 4600 miles)My only complaint is the gas tank is two small(1.8 gallons).I've got to fill it every two days.It gets great mileage 75 to 90miles per gallon. I'm looking to put an auxiallary tank or a bigger tank if I can find one that fits.As far as upgrades The top sapeed on the flat (42 to 47mph)Is great but I'm looking to boost the power on hills without sacrificing the top end. I've considered a bigger head upgrade but I'm concerned about proper lubrication for the bigger cc size. I don't really want over race the power band with roller changes. Any advice?

When you install a big bore kit you almost have to goto pre mix on your gas Did you remove the restrictions on the scoot?

I'm really toying with going back to 2stroker power from my 150cc 4 stroke. I liked the 150 at first, but the fact theres no decent carbs made for it nor is there anything worthwhile in the mods dept is getting very old very fast. It's all comming back to me why I traded for a 2stroke a few yrs ago.. Scootertronics can take a Triton GT5, kit the hell outta it from bow to stern and deliver it capable of downright humiliating my 150 after proper breakin... I just might give em a call

It's kinda hard to give any sort of accurate advive on what carburetor is best when you don't know what kit you are using etc... I would suggest to figure out your entire combo together. If you get a Polini or Stage 6 high end kit with a Yasuni pipe you prob don't want a stock carb.
If you run a cheap baseline MRP 70cc kit like mine with an MRP 70cc tuned pipe, the stock 17.5mm carb works great and has been very reliable for me. I removed the oil pump, resevior, and cable and just premix. Caramel/chocolate colored plugs without any real tuning, reliable, 50-55mph cruising speed, and plenty of take-off with the proper transmission work. Also, no added cost for a carb. Sure, it would prob go faster with a 19-20mm carburetor, aftermarket air fileter, and proper jetting... but it runs great for the money invested.
If you are looking for a beast that wheelies just on power, don't get what I have. You're going to want to look for some serious parts and a beefy carb.

You guys are talkin alot of 2stroke so I'll ask you. Does anyone know about the Yamaha Y-2 82cc s-stroke? It is in My Geely Motors scooter. I thought it was a 50, but I saw the engine stamp and confirmed.

Well I was aware that the Geely 50 4 strokes were snuck in as 80 cc scooters for awhile but was not aware that an 80 cc 2 stroke snuck in. If it is an 80 cc you are most of the way there for a serious sleeper scoot! Throw a pipe, carb, and air intake on it, slap a racing clutch on her and fly! Of course I doubt the brakes are up to 80 mph scootin'..LOL
