Cool vid - looks like a nice machine. I just found the same scoot - 2005 model - used wth 1600 miles for $3500/OBO. Trying to make a decision on it. Comparing with a 2007 People 200 S @ $2900/firm. Have you had any problems with your 250? Any warranty repairs?

Have you had any problems with your 250? Any warranty repairs? No -- none at all. In fact, I stopped riding it in September of 2008, and started riding my Vino, exclusively. I hadn't even started it since mid-September. Went out today, shot a few seconds of ether into the intake (w/o removing the cover and filter!), and had it started in less than a minute. Rode it to the gas station, filled it up, put an ounce or two of Sea Foam in it, and it rocks and rolls as it has since the day I got it. .

Wanted to see one when I was shopping for a new scooter last month. My wife likes that style of scooter. Saw some Peoples 200, but no 250's. I believe except for displacement they are pretty much same thing the Peoples 200 and 250. Seemed like real nice scooters. On another forum Maxi-Scooters I read about a guy on a Peoples 250 that rode from Texas to Canada I believe. Good luck with your ride, it looks sharp.

Thanks. I do love it -- Kymco makes a fine ride.
The People 250 is no longer sold in the U.S. -- 2007 model year was the last for it, here. Most shops sold their last stock of them this past spring. I'm told there are only three of them registered in Tennessee, and mine and another one are right here in Nashville.
I got mine from a fellow Dawg in Florida. He had it about eight months, and decided he wanted a motorcycle, instead.
Of course, I might trade it to your wife for that sweet RV250... :) .
