About this time 3 years ago, a friend said, "Go ahead and take it off my hands"! What could I do? I didn't want to hurt his feelings. .. right!!

very nice! You're going to restore it right? The body of that scooter looks to be in decent condition, I bet it could use a few mechanical part though, right?! Nice find.

Fantastic! I remember when I did something like that on my old Cushman - but that was about 45 years ago.

Yeah, me too, but around here people seem to think they are worth way more than they really are. I have seen older scooters, in much worse condition than this one originally was, be priced close to $3,000. I'm not sure what these people think they have, but I will most likely never get a decent deal here. Actually, I did get a 1980 Honda CB750K from a friend of mine for free. That counts as a classic right? $100 and about 15 hours later and it is running pretty good.
Seriously man, you have no idea how cool that is!!! Your project is coming along quite nicely and it look great! Congrats!!!

Well it started out looking like the "impossible dream", but I think you need to change your heading -- it's just looking like a "dream machine" now. Beautiful job! Love the front fender.
