Go to Photo Bucket and get a free account. Upload your pictures there, then simply click once on the code below the picture to copy it and paste it in here... very simple. The code will copy itself when you click on the IMG box. Simply come back here and right click in the message you're creating and select Paste. You can also use the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl V

I see you got the hang of it!
The only other thing I would suggest is to re-size the images to 600x800px in your photo editing software. It will dramatically lower the file size and make them load much faster for the viewers.
Some viewers on a dial up (yes, there are still some) will have to wait 4 or 5 minutes for these large files to load, where if you resample them, it may only take a few seconds...

Look: This is how I see it on my computer. Can you see how far I have to scroll to the right? This is why resizing is important.

The Vespa ET4 I bought had a tall windshield like that when I bought it. First thing I did was chop 8" off the top.

250MC54. Think I have the hang of it now completely. I downsized the pictures and reposted. I think they fall well within the purview now. If not, please advise. In the meantime, take this Karma for your time and effort in teaching me. Joe ;D There is no dumb question if one learns from the reply. I see than many people are unable to upload via this process. Is there some compelling technical reason the usual and customary computer practice of having a browse and upload button at the place pictures are invited for post can not be made available, pray tell?

Hey Zip...I love the scoot. I think I have the same topbox you do. Check out My Daelim S2 in this thread section. I paid $89 for it at Iron Pony.

250MC54. Think I have the hang of it now completely... Yes indeed, it sure looks like you do! Now that's a real difference! You went from 196K to 56K on one of those pics, more than 3x smaller - you got it now! Thanks for the karma! Someone keeps taking them away BTW, That scoot looks really nice! I got the Cee Bailey's 8" rise euro shield... best money I ever spent!

Is there some compelling technical reason the usual and customary computer practice of having a browse and upload button at the place pictures are invited for post can not be made available, pray tell? Yes, there actually is. Photos take up hard drive space and use a lot of bandwidth on the server, so if you use PhotoBucket, it costs a whole lot less to maintain this board. I have my own server, hard drives and bandwidth, so I have the file attachments turned on at my site, but here, this is a free donated site by Lee and he pays for this out of his own pocket. With the popularity of this site, if he had the attachments turned on, he wouldn't be able to pay the bill. I suggest that everyone who finds this site useful make a donation by PayPal for Lee's expenses. I look at this site as a TOOL for my scooter, so I make regular donations to help out and pay for my usage. Heck, for the price of a screwdriver, I have gotten many issues fixed by the great content here. If each member would just contribute $10 or so once a year, I'm sure Lee would turn on some more features.

Rich..... I have awarded you another Karma to counteract some apparently unwarranted negativity caused by smites. I could not concur with you any more regarding the usefulness of this site. I have donated and will continue to donate to Lee on a periodic basis. I fully understand your technical explanation about saving space on the site by downsizing the pictures. My inquiry went to the roundabout manner in which one must go to post a picture. If my recollection serves me well, I have gone to sites that permit you to upload pictures in a very simplified manner, yet prohibit the upload of those sizes that do not conform to what the webmaster has circumscribed. Now that I have the hang of this picture thing I will know what to do in the future, but I would guess that the average computer operator would be unfamiliar with the current process and I bet you spend a lot of time helping people like you did me. I could not agree with you more on everyone giving a donation to Lee. People should consider this at this time, especially with the advent of Christmas. Lee does a spectacular job and I cannot imagine scooter enthusiasts existing without this valuable tool. Joe

Hi Joe,
And you have one on me too! I'm glad to hear that you have become a supporter! This will ensure that we all get to keep this place for a reference tool, and keep it Google Ad free!
I know a lot of folks don't post pics because of the extra few steps, but as you already know, like anything else, it's really simple once you do it.
How are you liking that new shield? I find mine to be incredible! It has eliminated virtually ALL of the wind noise, and the flailing around on windy days. It's especially nice when I have to jump on the interstate because I can ride comfortably at 65 now and not be blown around.
My sons hate it because it doesn't LOOK as nice as the stock one, but I wouldn't live without it any more!

Rich... I just love the new windshield. As tall as it is, I have noticed absolutely no adverse handling in the scooter. However, yesterday the winds only reached 8 mph here, but today I have already been out to fetch some items for the wife and the prevaling winds are at around 15 mph with more to come. I noticed no difference in 15 mph winds vs. the 8 yesterday. Also, we have a pretty good chance of rain today. So I am keeping an eye out since neither of my scooters has ever been ridden in the rain. I do not take them out if the wind is a sustained 20 mph or more or if I know it is going to rain. Thanks for the license plate. You even got the State of Georgia correct! The windshield has definitely helped my ability to hear my GPS speaker. I now have the GPS mounted center of the windshield but not touching it in any way. The windshield seems to pick up the speaker and throw it straight back to me louder than ever. I only use the GPS (usually on battery) when I really need it, as I have already determined that speed indicated and exact speed is about 5 miles different....indicated is 5 over actual. I do have an electical outlet on my scoot and I could hardwire the GPS in but I am rarely out at one time more than 2 hours and the battery holds me for that period. When I have it on, I just listen to the instructions and have gone a couple of places strictly based on sound. After all, the GPS can be a distraction if you gawk at it too long. Well, the young have different appreciations for things than you and I do. It is hard to remember back 50 years when I was 17, but I know my appreciation of beauty was in no way congruent with that of my parents. But I do think the way I think has matured with the accumulation of age. Thanks for all as usual, Rich, and "hold it in the road" over yonder in Louisiana. Joe ;D

Whatever, Rich! I have never found anyone who could explain to me specifically just how far and in what direction "ore yonder" is. Maybe you can help! If I pull up to you for directions and you tell me "ore yonder" how am I to proceed? And, I have never know the difference between "ore yonder and "back ataway" as I am a transplanted Yankee, having been born in Portsmouth, Ohio. I do have the credentials of a naturalized southerner, however, since I have had my six kudzu shots and have eaten at least one or two bowls of grits! Joe ;D

Nice windshield. It looks pretty good on there too. Do let us know how the scooter handles when you get strong crosswinds. The crosswinds or a big 18 wheeler passing you on a windy day is usually where you discover any issues with windshields.

Thank you Earlwb.... I have experienced the crosswinds previously and I know of what you speak. I took a Honda Elite on a test drive down a 55mph road and that thing tried to toss me from side to side. I did not buy it for that exact reason. It had a stock windshield on it. The new windshield I now have on my Kymco People 250 does not bother me during crosswinds of 20 miles per hour. I do not drive in higher winds at all. Had a number of 18-wheelers pass me on I-675 while I was running the maximum safe speed of 65, and I did not notice any difference really. The thought struck me that I might want to remove the windshield in hot weather, however, to get more air flow on 90 degree days and higher. Joe
