I see folks on here with a picture of their scoot as a part of their profile attached to each of their posts. How do I do that? Still figuring this forum out. Loving it. Lets see if I can post one here [/img] hmm... that didn't work. [/img] not it either. Any help? I'm sure I'm missing something stupid.

The first thing you need to do is resample a picture so that the width and height are 100px or less in your graphics program. In most programs, it'll be the image resize command.
Once you have that size picture, upload it to any free picture hosting website. Once it's uploaded, look at it in the browser, right click on it and select properties. The address of the picture will be there, http://something..... Drag your mouse over the entire address until it's all blue or highlighted, then right click on the highlight and select copy.
Now that you have the address of the picture copied, click the link here at the top of the page that says profile. Click modify profile, and where it says Avatar URL, right click in the box next to it and select paste to fill in the address of your picture. Set the width and height (the 100px discussed before) and click modify profile at the bottom of the page. Your small picture will instantly appear under your name.
To add a picture inline on a post, follow the same procedure above except this time resize the picture to 600px or so, upload it to a free website picture hosting and anywhere in your post, click the little picture frame where it says Add Tags: and the img tag will appear in the post. Paste the address of the picture between the 2 img tags and it'll appear inline with the post.

I noticed that others here are using Photobucket for the free picture uploads: photobucket.com/

When the time comes, I'll probably punk out and just send a pic to one of the kindly moderator-folks who have offered to post for us techno-dinosaurs. It's all Klingon to me. Computers are for sharpening your battle-axe on.
