I haven't replaced the fuel lines yet, but I did buy the line. My next mod will probably be putting in the lighter roller weights, but I would like to go ahead and put a Uni filter and jets at the same time. I just need to order them.

While many states require you to pass several skills on the road test, all Shelby Co. requires you to do is show up with your scooter with temp tags or permanent tags, and ride it once around the DMV building without falling off! No kidding. There's a nice tidbit of information. This is, at most, highly unlikely. Of course every state (and every locality within a state) differs, but I can tell you that when I was an examiner in Kansas, this never happened. We did not have the ability to issue citations. From what I have seen of Tennessee, I think it's probably true (that examiners can't give tickets) there as well. We could have called the police, I suppose, but think about it ... we had a long line of applicants to finish up, and what would we tell the police? Would they send someone, or would they just laugh at us? I just shook my head at them if they told me they were driving without a license. "Oh no, you shouldn't do that." I would guess that a good percentage of applicants drove to the examining station without a license. Citing them all would have been a big job. Oh ... and I just remembered my own personal experience! I showed up to apply in Tennessee, and my out-of-state license was not valid. No, TN DL stations do not have the time nor the inclination to mess with that. I've put ~1700 on since 07-14, but I also had numerous kilomiles on a motorcycle back in the 1980's. Likewise! And maybe I'll see you at the ERC (I'm planning to sign up too.)

OK, looks like our first mod party is at Chris's house! He'll mod his carb/air intake... how about the exhaust???
Does a mod party mean I can wear my bell bottoms and peace medallion? Lovetascoot2 can wear go go boots!

Hey Neuro, that sounds more like a mod-squad party !,, hey, that could be our motto! Seriously, I would like to see what Chris does to his bike. I didnt put a new fuel pump on yet, i ended up just putting mine back together to see if maybe it was the high humidity that made it act up so bad that day. Sun/Mon's are my days off right now, so please let me know if you guys work out a mod-squad party !! Thanks, Rhonda

The Memphis Kings Scooter Club is having their first annual Hellbent for Halloween Scooter Run this Thursday, Oct 29. We will meet at 6:30 pm in costume at the new Vespa store Metro Moto on Poplar Ave (across from the main library). From there we will scoot to several houses throughout Memphis thought (known?) to be haunted. We'll end up at one of the local downtown taverns (perhaps Flying Saucer or Bardog...). Should make for great fun! See you there! Neuro
