The voice box is very easy to hear as the roads they have the test on don't go above 40 MPH. If you go to the Broken Arrow centre to take the test, make sure you get there as early as is humanly possible as driving-exam spots are usually gone by 11AM.
The roads themselves can a bit bumpy--and there was a railroad crossing involved in my test. Make sure the examiner sees you check for trains, use your turn signals, and wear a helmet.
See you on the road. And avoid Pine St. in North Tulsa if you don't have huge tires. The railroad crossings SUCK

Spacecowboy, I had been practicing around my neighborhood and was low on gas, so I took the scooter about ONE BLOCK to get some. Was it on Olive, with a silver sport-style scooter behind the pink one? If so, that was us!
Got some fun questions at the gas station about engine size and the like. But I was glad to get back to my quiet little neighborhood!

I think it was on New Orleans (101st). Anyways I find myself on Olive quite a bit since leaving my neighborhood via Olive is a useful way to avoid the school zone on 101st. So it'd hardly be a surprise if we ran into each other (Actually, running into anything on a scooter is a very bad idea).

Sorry I haven't weighed in on this thread, I wasn't reading the club threads. I am in Claremore. I was going to ride to/from work, but joined a carpool just after buying my scoot.
deaconblues - I took the MSF course in Bartlesville and they provided a certificate that lets you out of the driving part of the state test. You just have to pass the written one to get your endorsement. If you see me around, I look like the guy in my avatar... hey wait that is me.

Hey Kateayre and Deaconblues, dunno if I am too late with this info.
I took mine on the SW 74 office. You will not be able to take written and skills test on the same day. I got there at 5:45 am to take skills test and I was 15th in line. They take a don't ask, don't tell policy on how you get your bike there. The speaker was plenty loud enough, even though I have a half helmet, think even if you have a full you should hear fine. The tester had me drive through neighborhood streets behind testing facility making left and right hand turns, and seeing how I handled various types of intersections. Then out onto S. May and had me make lane changes. Then back to the facility. Took about 15 mins. Kinda like Six Flags, 4 hour wait for a 15 min ride.

Thanks scootinkev, that's just the info I needed. I got my scoot Tuesday night. I found a BV500 on craigslist in Edmond for the same price as the Kymco. So I got it!!!
My plan for tomorrow.. is learn how to ride it. Dang it's BIG, I just hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew. I have drove it back and forth in the drive way about 10 times. LOL it sure does want to head out on the street.

Oh yeah, it's a lotta scoot!! I left the driveway this afternoon finally, just around the neighborhood, typical suburban winding streets. OMG leaning!!! scary, thrilling, exhilarating, gotta do it again! LOL riding down the street is easy, stopping is a ummm challenge, I fell over a couple times, must have looked down. Oh well, I picked it up and continued on.

Howdo Rocknredhead, Sooner Scooters on SW 59th street I think will work on any scooter. I know they sell and service their brands, but I'm pretty sure for a price they will work on other brands too. A call won't cost too much.

Wow! So many okie riders! Well, here's another in OKC.
Sooner Cycles and Powersports, 236 SE 59th St in OKC, will work on Roketa's. I just bought my MC-54 150cc from them last week.
RockinRedhead, their phone # is 632-4576. Ask for Brenda; tell her Tom sent ya her way.
My buying experience was so awesome with them, that I want to just tell everyone about it!
So, I've got the MSF course this weekend (18-19 Oct), then it's off to Texas on a work trip the following week.
Dangit! That's a whole extra week before I can get my "M"!
OKC dawgs: is the DMV experience on I-240 as bad as the crowd makes it look?

Bough a scoot this summer and would like to be part of a club or group .
I am riding a QLink Pegasus 150 and just finished a solo 90 mile ride. I ride for the pleasure of the ride but for my photography. ;D

Hi there i live in muskogee, I have seen maybe 5 others on scooters around here. I bought a SYM HD200 from metric cycles back in april and just wish I had other scoot-ers to ride with. Does anyone else get made fun of? it seems that no matter where I go somebody tries to make a joke about a scooter being an inferior mode of transportation.

Hey all you OKIES! I'm in eastern Oklahoma, i.e., Stilwell -- or better known as strawberry country. We're near the Arkansas border, and lots of hills here to ride in. I only know of 2 of us scoot dawgs here in Stilwell, and would love to get involved in a club. I suspect the nearest is in Tulsa, nearly 2 hrs away. Broken Arrow is a slight closer. Didn't know there was a dealer there. I have a Roketa 250, and have had many problems with it since purchase last year. Now looking for a new CDI unit -- the scoot won't run without a new one. I plan to do some hill riding soon, maybe up into Missouri even, or maybe overnighter. It's hard for me to meet on a Thursday night in Tulsa, just not too feasible. Happy Scootin' you all. Dennis
