Rule number one- always write your plans in pencil! My wife has recently had some health issues so we have to cancel (hopefully just for a while) our plans to go to Corpus Christi in the spring to get everything taken care of here. Great doctors in this area!! So, if there is anyone in the Knoxville area--we are in Clinton--that would like to get together to talk scooters and go for group rides-2 or more would be a group-let me know. Spring is almost here-HORAY!!! Art

Hello Art, My wife and I are actually looking at starting a club in Knoxville. We have been scooterists for about 5 years now. We just moved here from Ohio last spring and have been looking for other folks to go on group rides with as well. There was a large club in Columbus that held events. We attended our first rally with that group a couple of years ago. They had around 175 participates! It was great. We have been searching for clubs in this area but haven't had any luck. There are so many wonderful places to ride so we thought about starting one. We have 2 UM Matrix 150cc scooters. We've had them for 2 years now. I think mine has about 800 trouble free miles now. I also have neighbors that are new scooter fans. I believe they have a Yamaha 125cc and a Honda 50cc. So our unofficial group consists of 4 so far. We would love to have you join us...

Hi Corey, welcome to the forum, and welcome to Knoxville too. We are north of Knoxville, in Clinton, right by Interstate 75, where are you located at? Just went out for a nice little ride today up around the Norris Dam---it was close to 70 out and felt real good! Art

Hello Art, We are located in Farragut. We took ours for a spin this weekend. Just went to Sam and Andy's for some lunch. What kind of scoots do you have? Today was nice but we had to work. My wife and I drove our car up to Norris Dam this past weekend. We are considering buying some property on the lake in the next couple of years. I'm a water rat. I love being on the water. Fort Loudon property is too high. Good to see you got my message. Clinton is not too far away. We also have a trailer to transport our scooters if need be. We fell in love with scootering while on vacation one year in Florida. We started out with 80cc Honda Elites and then bought what we have now. I'm looking at installing some upgrades on my scoot at some point.

Hi Corey, I have a CFMOTO Revo 150 (my second) that has about 500 kilometers on it now-ride every chance I get, especially in this nice weather. I have a carrier for it on the back of my truck if necessary but once broken in I hope to ride and not carry (dodo occurs tho). My wife is non riding for awhile, she just had a hip replacement and climbing on a scoot wouldnt be a good idea right now. Right now I am busy for the next couple weekends, maybe we could get together after that. There are some pretty places to ride around here, but I havent been out to your area. Art

Hello Art, sounds good. My wife and I would love to take a ride with you. Just give me a shout on this board. Then we can meet up. We are currently looking at starting a club. We want to hold a ride to get the interest started in the area. We are figuring out the best way to do that. Probably start working through some of the dealerships and get the word out. We are also in the middle of upgrading our scoots. I'm ordering the parts this week. Probably from oregonvintage. High performance Exhaust, carbs, intakes, clutches, coils, Air filters, plugs, and variators. I'm basically doing everything but the piston and heads. That will come later. Sorry to hear about your wife. Hopefully she will have a speedy recovery. The area down here is nice riding as well. We like to ride down along northshore by the lake.
Later, Corey

PF is not all that far. i am only about 10 mins from bass pro shop on 40. maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=Jefferson+City,+TN&daddr=Pigeon+Forge,+TN&mra=cc&dirflg=h&sll=35.95598,-83.52519&sspn=0.474666,0.925598&ie=UTF8&z=10&om=1 we could meet up for some riding anytime at that distance. you will have to copy and paste. for some reason even in the hyperlink boxes it doesn't like that comma. Hello guys. I'm glad to see some interest in riding. My wife and I are still looking for scooter friends around the Knoxville area. We have decided to start a club. It is on the ground floor right now. We have 4 members so far. We just got business cards made up to pass around and post on parked scooters. We are currently hanging up fliers in bike shops as well. We don't have a web site yet. We are interested in getting a ride together soon. Pigeon Forge and Johnson city is not a problem for us. We have a trailor if we need to travel too far. The club is called KSC. You can probably guess what that means . If you guys want to get together for a ride, count us in..... We are going to the Chattanooga Rally in a couple of weeks. It looks like alot of fun. If either of you want to reach me, the best way is by e-mail at ajoslin@tds.net. Hope to hear from you soon!! Corey
