Hi to a fellow Oregonian... Do you have a favorite scooter shop in the Portland area? I like the more modern scooters but I haven't bought one yet. Right now I'm admiring the Qlink Pegasus 150cc.
Thanks, Manx

for modern scooters I like Columbia scooters, for the people that work there I like P-town scooters on Division they do sell some modern scooters, like daelim and cpi . Ive been by sergeants on foster road, I think they sell Q-link, I think they look alot like a kymko people 150. I saw your post about the bomber, best breakfast in town, if you can finish it. when you get your scooter you will have to come for a ride with the scooter club, we go on rides the first sunday of the month and have a 3 day camping rally every august its a great time, we have about 100 members but only 20-30 people show up for any one ride except in the summer when it can be 50 or more. I am the membership officer of the club and all scooters are welcome. last year we had over 100 people at the rally.

Einism,
Thanks for the reply-it seems every scooter dealer I check out I like. They are all friendly and informative. I have checked out the Qlink at Sergents and was very impressed. If only it came in purple.
But the way, The Bomber has amazing Broasted chicken-I think it's called the Captains chicken. And the cornbread...mmmmm!

If you go to the club website and click on scooter resources there is a list of almost all the dealers in the area, also club links. if cost is an issue prestige motors carries motofino scooters and they do give a parts and labor warranty, I have gone in and talked with them nice people and they will let you do a test drive. I haven't checked out Motofino yet-thanks for the tip! We're driving down to Eugene & Albany today-thought we'd check out what they might have, but I want to buy locally (Portland Area) We're looking at the $2300-3500 range, with good lighting. I want to be as visible as possible. I used to ride motorcycles and quit in the 90's, but scooters have always had an appeal to me. I only live 3 miles from work, so it sounds like a fun way to get there & back.
We (ketchikankid) and I will be joining the Oregon Scooter Club just as soon as we get our little buzz-bomb!

I have to tell you if you have that kind of money I would seriously look at the kymkos at columbia scooters, the price is a little higher than the mainland chinese scooters but the bumper to bumper 2 year parts and labor warranty is hard to beat. I dont know where you work but if you ever come downtown park at a city center/pmc parking garage only 2.75 all day for motorcycle parking. I live downtown so I park in the parking garage its 30 for a monthly pass and 24 hour security 6 feet away from the bikes cant beat that. the scooter club will be taking their march ride the first sunday of march and ending up at saturday market around 12-12:30 parking around the fountain we do it every year. you guys should come on down with or without a scoot

Sounds like fun! I did check out the Motofino-pretty nice, but I can't find much info on the internet on them. The 150 seemed pretty nice. I do want to get something very reliable-I am not good at mechanical things. Putting a battery in a car & checking the oil & water is about the limit of my abilities. I don't want to get stuck with a piece of junk. I do like the Kymco, and I also liked the Qlink & TNG DR150.
I'm lucky enough to get free parking at work, but good to know there is reasonable parking downtown.
Thanks for all the info- Manx

Mike,
I live in Aumsville, and have ridden with the Salem chapter on the Independence ride. It was a blast! I'm new to scooting, but getting more practice all the time.
I hope to see you at the Oaks Park event. Some of us from Salem are planning to come up.
