Monty; That looks like the Linhai 260. Says "Linhai" between the handle bars. They have been selling for around $2600, so that is a good price! From what I have gathered, the 260 is basically the same frame, suspension, etc. as the 300 I have, except for the larger displacement engine. Tire sizes may be a little off - should be 110/90X12 front & 130/70X12 rear. Pretty heavy Chinese scoot at about 370 lbs. Has 3.2 gal gas tank, 29" (maybe) seat height and 60" wheelbase.
I have been really pleased with the quality and performance of mine. These scoots have Yamaha design influence and quality. Linhai partnered with Yamaha in the 1990s and builds some product for Yamaha. AFAIK, the 260s and 300s are all '06 models and they are not CARB certified. Since I don't live in a state that mandates CARB certified vehicles, that is good news to me. No extra pollution stuff! They pay the first $149 S&H fee, so you would have to add another $100-150 to the price. Still not bad.

be careful of the cheapie windshield, I had one and it breaks easy. Also, i wonder where the outboard motor hooks on.

I really am not in the market for something that big (really looking for 50cc bargain like my first scoot) but it did look interesting. When you drill deeper they will pay all the freight to the closest terminal but extra for lift gate service. Still seems like a bargain and good looking besides.

seems a little strange that they'd make you pay extra for the windshield. Allnewsports has the same or a very similar scoot for $1995, including residential delivery (and the windshield).
Overall, I've been pleased with Allnew's service. They delivered exactly what I ordered, and have been excellent about honoring their warranty.
Cheers

I've got one of these 257 linhai powered scoots. mine has 13" wheels.. I put 4000 miles on it, in around 2 months.. I have had no major trouble.. Thanks to Stan's info, (on one ride up a mountain, didn't want to shift down) I replaced the oem sliders with Dr. and as long as I had it apart, put on a kevlar belt, cleaned and lubed the clutch.. I also replaced rear bulbs. My model is designated (brand) jcl & (model) yy250T...very happy with mine.. paid about $2200 with shipping.. hope this helps.. tvfritz

Linhai powered and built by Linhai are different. Lots of assemblers are buying the engine & drive gear from Linhai but the Linhai 260 & 300 are totally produced by Linhai.
