Trunk rack for Linhai 300

We have a few owners of the Linhai (SuperStrada/Aeolus/Mainstreet/Diamo Turista) 300 on the forum. Some have expressed interest in adding a trunk but the factory rack designed to attach to the "Arm Guard" is not available in this country. Scootertronics lists one on their website but it does not show in their accessories section. I sent Mike an e-mail and got this response:

"Yes I have some racks, these are custom made by a customer of ours you can get one for 29.99 plus 5.99 shipping.

I have not seen the rack in person and thus don't know anything about the quality or appearance of it but, if interested, give Mike a call.

Here is what I did:



I know this is not a good picture but:

I went to Lowes and bought a stainless sink rack for draining dishes. It comes in two pieces held together by plastic clips.
$ 10.00. Seperate them and one section fits perfectly on top of the trunk. I used rubber pads to sit it on and screwed down thru the pad into the trunk and used metal clips to hold the rack to the pads. works great.

gotta be creative and NOT AFRAID to put a hole here and there.

$ 10 did two trunks. not including rubber pads,screws and clips.
