I was able to pick up the Burgman 400 ,that I purchased last week, this morning. I had to make an 80 mile trek north this morning after waiting for the rain to quit. I finally arrived home after an uneventfully trip home at 11:30am. What a difference between the Burger and my Eurojet. The Burger cruises the freeway with ease. 75MPH all the way home without a hic-up. I could not resist to see how fast the Burger would run so I opened it up when I got close to home. 93 MPH and very stable, Also everything fits in the garage, the Eurojet, the Burger, the Miata, and my wifes Lexus. It's tight but it is all in. Pics to follow when I get a spare moment. Right now everyone wants to buy the Eurojet now that it is up for sale. I have to give my soon to be son in law first right of refusal.

Congrats on the Burgie! I'm sure you'll love it. Besides all the other great things you've mentioned... huge underseat storage on those too!

Burgies are a great upgrade! Having bummed one off of Pop during my frequent visits to NJ, I can attest that it would have been the bike for me if finances were better...that is, until I tried the BV 500...still waiting for the finances...
12string, you're really gonna enjoy that scoot. Topcase and bigger Givi screen and yer all set!!!

I am so impressed with the Burgman, from the fit and finish to the smooth acceleration of the 400 cc. engine to the finger tip adjustable rear shocks. But with all that said, it really makes me appreciate the value of my Eurojet. Side by side the Eurojet is no slouch, it makes me wonder why the Japanese scoots have to cost so much I paid 3 grand for the Burger used, which makes the $1400.00 I paid for the Jet seem like a steal. I really like both these scoots, so I'm glad that the Jet is staying close to home, with my soon to be son in law buying it.

Just a little tip about the Burgman. The ignition switch has 2 parking positions. The bottom one leaves the tail light on as a parking light. Some owners have discovered that leaving the parking light on kills the battery. The price difference is due to the labor costs and materials. It also has to do with having dealers. Drive belt replacement every 14,500 miles, priceless. ;D

The previous owner showed me the tail light option as well as the dome light in the under seat storage. That is really sweet at night when there is very little ambient light to find my stuff.

Terrific looking scoot!. I'm curious to hear how you feel about the added weight and handling. On my commute to work there are often long lines of traffic stopped at stop lights. With my 250 I can pretty easily split the lanes and whip through the dozens upon dozens of stopped cars. How do you feel about doing that on the Burgie??

Gary, The Burger is large compared to my Eurojet. Out on the road it handles the lumps and bumps much better than the small scoot. As for cutting through traffic, I am not comfortable doing that, as it is much too easy to be nailed by a Florida "blue haired " driver. The Eurojet is as much fun as the Burger but in a different way. The Burger is more of a cruiser and the Jet is more of a short hop scooter. Different, but very much the same, if that makes sense? Kind of like the difference between a Miata and a GS400 Lexus, they both get you from point A to point B just at a different "fun" level. Hey I can't get my Avatar to work. Which one in photobucket do I use. I can't remember. Is it Email, Direct Link, HTML Tag, or IMG code? OOOOPS.......... I got it

Rocky - You should try one of the tourer or roadster 250s (Tank, Viva, NST, etc). Not as big as the Burgaman, but still pretty large I think. gary

I have a friend that purchased a Roketa Roadster 250. It is very close in size. It is however about 25 MPH slower on the top end. The Roketa tops out at about 70 MPH. I have not had a chance to compare the majesty and kymco's xciting side by side to the Burger but, I believe that they are very close in size. As far as a Chinese scoot the Aeolus 300 scooter from store.scootertronics.com/liae300tosc.html would be about the closest in size and performance. The price is very close to the cost of my used Burgman.
