Its early yet. Dealers might not have received the 08 models. They aren't in a hurry becasue they start incurring cost on them even if they hold them until spring selling season.

After riding an MC-54B for almost two months (2000 miles) I am looking for a bigger scooter. I ride my scooter to work most days and despite what is posted on the websites selling this scooter, it is too small and under-powered even for a 5 mile trip on the interstate. I would like to see the 2008 Majesty but I cannot find a local dealer that has them. Has anyone seen the 2008 Majesty? Look for holdovers they will be a lot less and may get a good deal on it as well. I bought a new 2006 this year less than retail. You may not get the color you want but the price may make up for that. Yamaha does have financing specials on them as well, I took advantage of that this year. Look on craigslist, sometimes there will be one that is about $3000 to $3700 used and probably doesn't have 2000 miles on it and is usually garage kept. www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products/modelhome/415/0/home.aspx

If you are looking for new, a left-over '07 may be just the thing. I don't have a Majesty but from posts here by owners, it seems that major improvements were made on the '07 model. I wouldn't expect much change on the '08. Like others have said, left-over scoots often go for very good prices. Couple of weeks ago my local Yamaha dealer had a nice '07 on the floor. He said he usually ends up the season with one left-over scoot, no matter how he orders.

It is the Burgman that had a major update in '07. The Majesty may or not update for '08. In Japan they had a new Majesty 250 that had a big wow factor. I don't know if or when that will translate into what we get here.

From the Yamaha web site it looks like the only change for '08 is color and small backrest. I believe the rest of the group is right the difference in price may just make up for the color if you find a left over '07.
It is even better if you can find a couple of dealers in your area. I found three and between the competition was great. The winning number came in with a discounted price, included the backrest and bracket and not set-up or shipping.
Good hunting! ;D

Warstein; Yep, you are absolutely correct! Now I remember that it WAS the Suzuki - valve train upgrade, IIRC.

i was in a burgman store yesterday. they have two 08 400's on order and don't expect to see either until after christmas.
my local majesty store is saying the same thing.
this year the local honda shop didn't get any 07 reflexes till late in march.
all that said, spazoo, don't be suprised about not finding any 08's around at this time of year.

I don't think there will be any 08's on the floors till spring. Cristmas at the earliest. The dealers all assume[/b] that everyone's back in their cars now and surely nobody would ride in November. I mean to ride year round like that is crazy! Right? Just plain crazy! heheheh.... Myself excluded of course. For I am[/i] that crazy! 366 days/yr baby!!!

Combine them with a good set of winter gloves, and some decent boots, and you can ride in the 20s.
