;DFor my fellow Dawg Russ and the rest in the pound....I had my Lance 250 out today for a nice ride. 82 degrees in fall here in Ohio...beautiful. Due to my wife being laid up with an injury and my mother suffering a serious illness I have not had the time I had wanted in the saddle, but I am trying to get a few hundred miles on my new Lance before winter storage. As related before, this is a very nice machine for a China scoot. There have been no major problems since delivery. Had to get my mech to readjust my mirrors, poor aim, but they are nicely fixed now. Also had some minor cosmetic issues on my trunk (came with it for the price). I touched them up but after about a two month wait ScootersFactory did deliver me a brand new one on warranty.
I had her cruising up to about 65 mph today and the ride and response were very good. This is a heavy machine and it glides nicely on our country roads. I have found the throttle and acceleration to be very smooth. The brakes on this baby are very good. Tight and responsvie with good braking power even at fast speeds. From what I can see right now, I am getting around 50 plus MPG. This is countryside riding.
This is a sharp touring type scooter. I love the lines and look and I have had nice comments from folks who have seen it and some very friendly waves from other bikers I have seen on the road.
Sorry guys I am not very mechanical but this is what I can report up to now. Zhen is making a great "inexpensive" scoot in my opinion and as for S/F, I have no complaints. I am well satisfied with my $2000 investment thus far. "It's all about the ride." More to follow...including a coming report on our new Lance GSR 150.
