Just in case parts for my chinascoot are too hard to get, I might just throw some Honda parts in there. It will be a little more expensive but at least it won't break... I will most likely be looking at a clutch replacement...
Thanks!!

Honda helix clone 244cc. Most Honda helix parts generally will fit.

Only as needed. Every time you turn a screw there is a chance of stripping them. No sense changing things that are still working properly.

Well, pretty much all the gears are ruined. Now, what Reflex clone is the CFMOTO exactly? There seem to be four models:
NSS250 NSS250-A NSS250-AS NSS250-S
Thanks so much!!

Gears? Are you referring to the final drive gears? because the transmission is a belt drive.

It's not a Reflex clone... it's a Helix clone - Honda CN250. And the CF engine is only about 70% compatible so check your replacement parts carefully. The body panels and other misc stuff actually are good replacements for the Helix clones... from the Honda CN250...
Thanks, Jim J... Bandit MotorSports

Thanks!! How about the gear box? Are they identical by any chance? If not, I will just go with the OEM parts; it might still be under warranty anyway...

Bandit MotorSports Actually the Helix CN250 was replaced in 2001 with the Reflex NSS250. So, I guess it would be a Reflex clone after all? Confusing... Mine is a 2006 scooter

No, actually the Reflex and the Helix have been sold right through 2007, when both are being discontinued. There have been several years where there were no Helixes on (I believe) trhee separate ocassions since it was introduced in 1986. The 244cc engine has always been the Helix engine... never the Reflex engine which is a 249cc engine with a near horizontal cylinder. Both Helix (clone) engines and Yamaha (clone) engines have been used in the Reflex look alike scooters.

Ok, I see. Bottom line is that I should stick with the OEM parts huh? If it's not a match for sure, I don't want to be spending $$$ on Honda parts... My scoot has been out of commission for over a week and I already miss it terribly

Luciano, sn't your scooter a Helix clone.... I think I saw a picture you posted when you first got it and that's what I thought it looked like. I don't know about the gears inside the transmission, but the CVT and Clutch parts on the Helix clones are interchangeable with Helix parts.

On a side note, it's possible I might still get the parts under warranty! Leon @ Flyscooters is a very pleasant person to deal with!

On the CF MOTO engines are different from bike to bike. I use the names for the qlink bikes that what i most see. The legacy and the spareo motors are the same but are not the same as the commmuter. You should be able to use honda helix parts to replace some motor parts because honda sold all the rights to these motor in the 90's and had to go back to who ever brought them to get parts and more helix's. But for the Hondar rear clutches will not work for the legacy and spareo since the motors are longer than the commuter but should work for the commuter, all you have to do is just match them up.

Well, I remembered it wrong... your El Capitan isn't nearly a Helix clone like the Fashion, the Commuter, and the Helix Clone that Bandit sells. It looks as though you have a 12" back wheel but quite a bit lower profile tires than the Helix If so the Helix CVT, clutch, and gears will probably work, because your the casting for your gear housing and your CVT cover look like the same exact pieces as those on my Helix. I just went back and forth a couple of times to compare! You certainly have the same muffler and exhaust system and the forward part of your right side engine case is also the as the Helix. Engine parts certainly should be the same, the Variator should be the same if the places selling the same variator for Helix clones and V3, V5 models made by CFMoto. Your clutch and gears could be different if the outside diameter of your back tire is larger than the 10" wheel on the Helix, but I doubt it is, since the gearbox castings and the CVT covers both are the same exact shapes in the area you photographed.
Obviously the Helix and your scoot only share the same general shape for the back half of the scooter, and way different in front. Your wheelbase looks to be somewhat shorter, and your front suspension is way different. Brakes are different both front and rear since you have a hydraulic rear brake(and no footbrake).
