Anyone know how to defeat the RPM limiter on the Linhai 300? Also, who sells ordinary replacement parts? For being associated with Yamaha there is surprsingly little information about the Linhai scooters.

Bunkerh; Welcome to the Dawg Pound! Do you have a Linhai 300? How long and how many miles? If you have read my thread here in this section, you know I recently got one. How has it been so far? Do you know for certain there is a rev limiter on the 300 and how so? Not all scoots have rev limiters. I have a tach ordered for mine but it won't be here until next month. I can give you links to three places which sell Linhai scoots: John Dikov at Valley Scooters: scootersus.com/aeolusscooters.htmlMike at Scootertronics: store.scootertronics.com/liaesc15.htmlJoe at HH Motor Sports: www.hhmotorsports.us/Others sell them but these are three places I have either visited, bought from or talked with. While Linhai builds product for Yamaha, they are not owned by Yamaha and do not have a marketing link. The Linhai scoots have been sold around the world for a few years (at least) and here in the U.S. The 300 was listed by PSF last year but at a high price and I don't think it was marketed properly. It can still be found for as much as $4K, MSRP but you can get them for much less. They are now being imported by Sunright International Of America, Inc., and maybe others. You should be able to get parts from any of the three dealers listed above.
