So as of a few hours ago I am the proud owner of a 1985 Honda Elite 250. It's really an awesome ride. Lots of power, good control, all the other stuff that I was looking for in a scooter.
Unfortunately, it does have one problem. The scooter in question is, at least, eleven distinct kinds of ugly. From the custom maroon and silver paint job, to the overall shape of the thing...highly unattractive. Anyone have suggestions on scooter beautification. At the very least I need to replace a few parts (broken headlight, bit of black plastic hanging off of the nose.) Good places to start looking?

If it runs it is still beautiful! Welcome to the scooter pound. I don't have any good suggestions but take your time and enjoy the project.

It must not have been to ugly if you bought it, you saw something pretty in it in a special way. Welcome to the dawg pound. Congrats on your purchase. May it give you many more years of scooting fun.

Honda elite 250's are great scooters. parts probably missing from the top speed wind ripping them off. that thing will fly.

Welcome to the club! Try e-bay for most body parts, you may have to try all winter.
