Hi! Maybe next year or never, I'm not sure yet but I've looked at this scooter in Sweden and I wonder wonder if you could help me identify the type of engine and if there is someone with experience of this scooter. (It looks almost the same as the scooter in scootdawg.proboards59.com/index.cgi?board=200cc&action=display&thread=1186756213) I haven't looked at it IRL yet but here's a photo and some specs: Price: $2779 (limited supply) Breaks: disc's, front and rear Fuel tank: 11 L Tires: 130/60 - 13" Speed: ca 110 /km/h Cooling: liquid Engine: 4-stroke, 250cc, 1 cylinder Power: 10Kw/5750 Dimensions: LxWxH: 2190*755*1370mm Weight: 150kg Or this one: (Kymco B&W 2006 250cc, used 280miles, $3511) Br, Per

I'd say if you can, go with the Kymco. The other scooter looks like a Chinese type of scooter so be aware that it may not have the reliability of the Kymco.

The other scoot appears to be a rebadged Roketa MC 54 or vice-versa. It is a Chinese scoot and the engine could be a CF Moto or Lin Hai. Depends whether cylinder is vertical or horizontal. I think the cf moto is 244cc and the lin hai is 257cc.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I have the MC 54 . After a few electrical problems I fixed and some minor shipping damage it has been a really fun scoot so far.

Perus; The scoot pictured at the top has the CFMoto engine & drive. You can tell by the presence of only two bolts to hold on the CVT cover. The MC-54 model by Roketa (as it is called here) has been popular this year and folks seem to be having reasonably good luck with it.
If you can spring for the KYMCO B&W, and you fit on it, go for it over the other. No question about the quality of the KYMCO over the Chinese scoot. The B&W is a little on the tight side in terms of knee clearance for some, so a "test fit" is important.

Ok, but it's not an easy choice, the Chinese scooter is cheaper to buy but you loose a lot if you try to re-sell it used here in Sweden. I trust Kymco more but with proper care I hope to increase the reliability of the Chinese scooter.. /Per
