I keep pretty careful track of my gas mileage and noticed about 6 tankfuls ago that the mileage on my Viva dropped from its usual 60 mpg or so to about 54 mpg. This was also about the same time frame the idle and low speed running became intermittently poor. Over the weekend I did a couple of things that solved both issues. I replaced the spark plug with an iridium plug and replaced a punctured emissions system hose. The scoot now idles and runs perfectly and I got 60 mpg on my last tankful.
Hope this helps someone. Gary

Watch your air filter and tire pressure as well. When you get enough miles on it switch to a synthetic oil.

Thanks Aristide, I need a tutorial on cleaning the air filter. Haven't done that yet. Gary

Is it washable foam? You may also need to spray it with some oil after you wash it, not sure. Old hot rodders motto - When all else fails read the instructions.
