The TNG warranty policy seems a tad unreasonable: "2 year engine warranty (requires purchase and use of Opti-4 oil)"Just seems like requiring frequent initial engine and rear gearbox oil changes with a "common" brand would be a better policy. That would flush out the suspended metal particles.

Their usually warranty, always seems to me as if they're trying to give themselves an out should warranty support be required.
PS Moved this to the 250 section where it really belongs

Well, I test drove it for a couple of miles. Price was $2799 and my local shop charges $200 for freight and set up.
The scooter was nice, only noticed a few cosmetic flaws. It had two spots on the paint where the paint was blobby. The paint was really shiny, clear coat was nice. One of the tail lights was slightly off fitting.
The seat was comfortable, not really cushy but it sat nice. The backrest was nice. The instrumentation was a bit sparse and the turn signals were hard to see in bright sunlight and they didn't click or beep.
Acceleration was very nice and smooth. The scooter accelerted very nicely up to an indicated 65 mph, which is as fast as I went. To me, the scooter felt way too 'light' at that speed. I think it is beacuase I am used to bigger tires and was overcorrecting what I saw as a problem.
I do think the TNG 250 is a very decent scooter for the price, not quite on a par with the more expensive but with the two year warranty ( the case of oil you have to buy is only $100 so that's not too bad) and locl support, it may well be worth the price.
By the way, I moved up to a People 250, which is the first 250 I ever tesed. I love the look of it, my Piaggio looks similar, too. The People had 2 km on it when I bought it!
