Hi! I just changed my gear oil again for the 2nd time (3400km). All went well, belt still looked in excellent shape too btw. Anyway, there is a small rubber hose that runs from the back (just next to the CVT cover) and connects again right above the cover. It's actually kind of in the way when you re-install the CVT cover. I removed that hose for better access and when I almost got to work this morning I realized I forgot to put it back on. Scoot ran normal and there's no sign of fluid spill etc. So, what is the function of that rubber hose?! It can't be of very significant importance? I doubt it's meant to have fluid in it as it doesn't hook up very tightly. Must be some vacuum thing orso? Anyone?

Luciano136; Sounds like you are describing the vent hose for the final drive. No problem if left off for that short run. Vented back into the air cleaner, it prevents contamination from getting into the gear cluster area, allows for expansion of heated air in the final drive unit and vents any gear oil mist back to the engine.
