Still need to do some tweaking on the Majesty. My wife would like a little more support in her lower back area. I was wondering if anyone has tried to install the factory backrest in conjunction with factory top case and backrest pad? I am willing to do a little fabrication if it is any way possible. Has anyone tried this or know someone who has?

Check the motorcycle websites for for back rest replacements. You maybe able to find one that comes out far enough to support her back. Here is another thing to do when doing that. Have her sit on the scoot, measure the distance from the trunk to her back and then give yourself another 1/2 to 3/4 inch to that measurment. that compensates for any compression of the foam and give her the support. My but aren't we and early riser. Thanks for the input. I have not searched the motorcycle back rest yet but had thought about last night. I have also ran over a couple of designs in my head that I could build and have it upholstered at a shop I use locally.
I like the looks of the Factory though and sure would like to use it if possible. I think some careful bending of the bracket and possibly slightly re-locating of the mount hole would make it work.

Actually my day starts 3:30 a.m. Before you bend the bracket, make a wooden shim or use a nylon cutting board like a wedge and place between the trunk mount plate and the scoot's mount plate to get it to tilt back. Or get somebody to make you a longer plate that would go between the two so you can move the trunk back without messing up your original plate. That way you can get the misses on and move the trunk to where ever she is comfortable with.

I did just order one of the backrests. If it's in stock I should have in week and see how it fits at that point. I will keep you informed on the progress for the great quest to get it comfortable enough for her to hang in there for a day ride. She is happy so far on the short trips well accept for the one Friday night our favorite restaurant.
We sat through a leisurely dinner and sat maybe a bit too long. Started to storm when we left. She said turn around. I pulled over. Said it looked better in front than behind let's try for home. Bad choice. It really let go at that point. Turned around and headed back to the restaurant. We know the owners so we pulled up on the sidewalk under there walkway roof. One of the daughters came out and I said I was trying to find the button for the top and windshield wiper. She laughed and said come back in dry off. Well it kept raining and we where the last people there. So late the owner came out of the kitchen we talked scooters and motorcycles and sidecars for quite awhile. Finally it quit raining and we started for home. still a little wet and a lot cold but we made it home. I told her this will be a great "nursing home" story. She agreed.

Monty57,
Maybe you could get her to drive and you be the back rest for her, you are much softer than the factory one. Rain gear is not that expensive either and you all have plenty of room under the that big seat to stickm' in. I don't know how many times I have done that and yes the rain gear is under the seat. Well at least you are making wonderful memories with it already and that's all that matters that she is happy with it.

I have not convinced her to learn to drive yet. She wsaid she was going to learn on the 50cc but it sold the first day. I suggested the RR but she had not taken it out.
As far as the rain gear, I have, I forgot to put it in the trunk, did not tell her I had and forgot. She thinks I'm perfect and I don't want to shatter the image.
I have also two pics of Majesty's with both factory backrest and trunk mounted. It looks like it was made to do that. I hope it will be that easy.

Well one nice thing about the Majesty is that you don't wet in light rain, just my shoulders get a little wet, the rest of me stays pretty dry. the down pours I have to break out the rain gear.
The trunk is wide, so installing a back rest to the lower part of shouldn't be to much trouble. Can't wait see how that comes out.
