I found a 2005 Burgman 400 for sale by a 71 year gentleman, it has 4,100 miles on it, its in great shape. There are a few scatches on the right side, probably buff them out, they are so light, he laid it down while stopped and decided that it was getting too heavy for him and thats why he is selling it. He wants $3,000.00, can anyone tell me if this sounds like a good deal and these are good scooters? I know it has to be better quality than my MC-54 I just bought. If I get this scooter I will give my MC-54 to my girlfriend because she wants a scooter now I have one...LOL I searched the forum but havent found any reviews on this scooter or I missed them. Thank you, Joe

I can vouch for the Burgman. I had mine since 2003.

For 3 grand, snap it up before someone else does. It might be the only scoot you'll need.

yea.. i know of that burman.. it is a dark blue.. good condition.. with a middle bag too..
super low price..
it was priced at 3800 bucks.. sat there at the store for all summer long.. still there right now at SPEEDCiTY, i looked at it.. and didnt' get it... now he dropped the price to 3000 about 3 weeks ago...
sounds like a super deal.. now at 3000 dollars i want to get it.. but i have at people 250 that i some what like now... starting to like it after i fixed some of its weirdness...
another reason i didn't get it is it a full size scooter.. i didn't want to jump from a scarabeo 150 that was super easy to hand to a full size maxi scooter.. but now i don't think it matters much..
so my advice to you, is to start it up.. listen to the motor.. ask for any maintained records and get it..
get it now before you lose out on a great deal...!!!

Sounds like a good price to me. I can speak from experience, if it sounds good to you buy it before it too late!
Here is what NADA says. Low Retail Average Retail $3,430 $4,510 As you can see he is well below low retail.

The first year imported to the US was 2003. I have one. It is number 186.

Phamster: The People 250 is STILL at the dealership...they said that "The rest of the parts just arrived. You should be back on the road this weekend." Since tomorrow is Saturday, I'm going to be (politely) harassing them about the scoot. It has been there since July 3rd, and Evil John is about to make an appearance. He does not like being lied to...especially about Kym!!! Seriously, a whole month? Maybe they should just give me a loaner in the meantime... John
