Just got it Tuesday, ordered from ATVDiscounter for $1900 shipped (it would have been $1950 but they gave $50 off since my wife was a nurse, go figure). They had pics of the MC-54 and had it listed as an MC-54, but also had MC-54-250 listed in the auction I saw. I called, they insisted it was indeed the MC-54, but when I got it, yup it's the MC-54-250B (other than a few cosmetic differences, the MC-54 has the cfmoto/honda clone engine, the MC-54-250B has the linhai/yamaha clone engine).
Assembly was ok, windshield doesn't fit 100%, more like 98% (where it meets the body panel it's a bit big, or the body panel is, and it's just off on one side, no biggie). Not sure the trunk is on just right, but it works and that's what matters.
Remote start is useless right now, won't start up unless the engine's warm. I think the idle speed needs to be adjusted some. A note, when you start (or just attempt to start) with the remote, you must also shut it off with the remote. I found that hitting the lock button would shut it off but also set off the alarm, I just hit the unlock button immediately afterward and all was well. Perhaps you can just hit the unlock button, haven't tried that. You could just use the kill switch, but the lights stay on (it acts like the key's in the ignition and turned on).
Speedometer's off just a bit, not as bad as many report. Had my wife drive in front going exactly 55 (car's speedo is dead on with a gps), scooter showed just under 60, I'd say around 58-59. On a level road it'll go 70 no problem and I think it'd go 80, but the ride gets a little rough so I didn't push it all the way. Steep hills give it a little trouble, going up an 8% or a 9% (I forget which it was) grade had it slowed down to 45-50. I had a short hop on the interstate (we were in a rush, it was late so traffic wasn't too bad), that was a little too much "fun." I found that if I got behind a semi, it did move me around some but not too much, and when another semi passed it didn't shake me near as bad as if I wasn't behind a semi (hope that made sense).
Changed the oil after about 10 miles, you should have seen all the tiny metal specs. Going to change it again soon, it has about 200 miles on it now. I really wish it had a real oil filter like the Honda engine does.
Not enough room under the seat for a full-face helmet, but the trunk will just barely hold one. I guess you're out of luck if you have a passenger.
There's no way to leave the glove box unlocked, I'm not sure why they even have a handle to open it if you have to use the key anyway. Gas cap is behind another door that must be opened with the key, so you have to shut the scooter off unless you used the remote start (it'll keep running even without the key).
If you have any questions, I'll try to answer, but since I just got this scooter I don't know everything about it yet.
