OK I need a Little help. I am planning on getting a scooter. I really like the way the Helix looks but cant afford a Honda. I have found what looks like three different clone type versions of the Helix. They are the:
Bandit LX250z
244CC CF MOTO VIP FASHION
Qlink Commuter 250
My questions are:
Does anyone own one of these scooters and how do you like them?
Does anyone have any info on what the main difference in these scooters is?
Do they have the same engine?
What company has the best customer service?
Which one would you choose and why.
Any help would be much appreciated, you all seem very helpful. I am not real savvy on scooters and would like to get the best deal I can afford.

All three are CF Moto bikes. Bandit is a proven entity for internet sales. Best support will likely be from Qlink as it has a full 2 year warranty parts and labor. All are roughly the same bike. Which would I buy? Probably the QLink if I had a local dealer. Next I would buy from Bandit as he is one of the good guys. All three have the same engine the 244cc Helix clone.

CFmoto 244 is a proven good engine and honda helix parts are interchangeable so supplies are available. You could also consider the motorcycle style CFMoto V5 cruiser (Qlink version) or CFMOTO V3 Sport Bike (Qlink Sapero). Both bikes have worked well and continue to sell.

I own a 250 Commuter and love it. I'm just about out of the break-in period of 600 miles of below 45 mph (as recommended by my dealer) and have had no issues at all. I changed the oil at 300 miles and will have it changed again by the dealer at the 600 mile service point.
I bought from a dealer (Looslagoon) because he was "there" to answer all my questions and was located very close to my home. One of my questions was "How is your distributer (QLink) for part service?" His response was "Excellent". Generally get anything I want in 3 business days. No way to beat that.
I particularly like the seat, nice and cushy, and the mpg. First tank at 73 mpg and the second at 71mpg. Good headlight and very good lighting at the rear. The moving string of LED's are eye catching for the cars behind.
Now for what I don't like:
It's difficult for me to get it on the center stand. The scoot weighs almost 400 lbs and doesn't seem balanced right for an easy pull-up onto the stand. Consequently the side stand get all the use.
The speedo, being a back lit digital, almost disappears under certain sunny lighting conditions. 85% of the time it's fine and only when the sun is at right angles to your direction of travel can this situation exist.
That's it. All minor dislikes and for the price.....I can live with them.
I think the scoot is the best of the 250cc size luxury machines and would certainly buy another. The ride is amazing. Mine came with a top box and four speaker AM/FM/Tape deck.
Can't wait to start riding it to work.

Those center stands are extremely difficult to use on all bikes. I rarely use the center stand on the V3 and it took 3 people to put a CBR1000 onto the center stand. Sometimes it works, other times its not worth the effort.

Not quite "all". My new Roketa Bali 250 has the most interesting leverage on the center stand I have ever encountered. Basically you don't have to pull it backwards, all you do is apply downward pressure on the centerstand, and it sort of jumbs up on it. (Well, OK, I DO weigh 210 lbs, that probably helps a little bit.) Those center stands are extremely difficult to use on all bikes. I rarely use the center stand on the V3 and it took 3 people to put a CBR1000 onto the center stand. Sometimes it works, other times its not worth the effort.

Maybe it's because I learned (finally) how to get the Strada 150, which has the centerstand exactly positioned in the center of the scooter relative to its' weight, on the centerstand without fighting it, but the Helix I just got seems like it practically puts itself on the stand by comparison. Just press down with my foot and up it goes.

Sometimes it works, other times its not worth the effort. My 14yr old daughter can put my 500lb Kawasaki ZR-7S on it's center stand. It's the technique one uses.

I have a 25 year old son that outweighs me by 40 pounds of muscle. Oddly he cannot put any motorcycle on a centerstand as easily as I can so I'm with termite, it must be technique.

About those center stands: I was having trouble with mine since I am basically a greenhorn. Then I remembered a blurb by Rony of Evo Sales on Abacus-es.net. He had a 4 or 5 step method for using the center stand. I tried it and it worked like a charm. He says that even the smallest person in his shop can do it. I know this must be true, since I'm 62 years old and have a 350 lb scooter.
