Greetings scooter people, This is my report of my scooter. If any of this helps anyone else then I am happy. First I gotta tell you. I like this scoot. It runs and rides really nice. (Now) Now for the problems and fixes. Overheating--Fuse in fuse box loosing contact. No fuse, no fan. Anit-freeze leak--Cheap clamps at carb. Replaced Noise & vibration--(bad) Bumper on center stand misaligned. center stand hitting on upstop at bottom of engine. Mirrors, cheap junk unless you like looking at everything but the road. Both right and left. Will replace. Speedo cable--mine was rusty and rough. Light grease and cleaning made big difference. Seat had a definite downhill slant to the left. Raised latch with 1/4 inch shim. Battery-goes without saying--replaced. Glove box latch--no latch arm on lock-no correction yet. Windshield scratched and abraided, polished. Indicator lights for turn signals not bright enough to be seen in daylight--replaced with leds. While you are in the front area check grounds-had three loose-resoldered. Fuel gauge wired backwards and wires loose-fixed and tightened My scoot was a lemon. Must have been made on Friday late. If I lived close to the dealer I would have taken it back. Then I would have missed out on what I consider a great education cheap. Have been out riding the last few days and I really like this scoot. Wonder what a good one would have been like. Hope this helps some of you who might have problems.

Fuel gauge wired backwards How did you find out? Did it read empty when you filled it up and then travel towards full as you used up the gas?

As I explained in another thread. I first added about one gallon of fuel and the gauge went to full. When I went to the station and filled the tank the gauge went to empty and stayed there. I got home and didn't want to take apart the front end so I checked the wires at the tank sending unit. There was a blue stripe, yellow stripe and a ground wire. I simply cut the blue and yellow wires and switched them (blue to yellow and yellow to blue) The fuel gauge went to full. Later I found the wires on the back of the fuel gauge to be loose. I tightened the screws and the gauge has been acting almost normal lately. Still reads wrong, but not to badly.

Sorry about that. These problems occured over a period of several weeks and I did bring them up one at a time. The final thread was as you said, to bring them all togeather in hopes it might help someone else with similar problems. I would have brought them all togeather and eliminated the single threads, but I don't know how. Any help in that line would be appreciated.
