Just noticed the DC250 on the Bandit site. Has anyone had any experience with these? Im finding out bit by bit the RR Iscooter 250 isnt all it's cracked up to be... I do like the idea of the 250cc motor on the 150cc sized chassis. I think the power to weight ratio would be right where Im lookin for... Hum Torn again.... I dont know if I want the RX150i or the DC250....

Clonetrooper,
I'd recommend you check out thoroughly and go with the RX150i. I believe the 150cc bikes are alot more reliable... and alot more stable then these DC-250 types. While the 257cc engine mounted in the light weight frame makes for a haul-ass quick bike, it makes it kinda scary too. I would rather see the larger engines stay in the maxi sized frames myself. And I would suspect that the DC-250 and the RR are about the same bike... other than maybe some cosmetics and a slightly higher quality level on mine. ( - ;
The reason why I make this suggestion is that you appear to be indecided other than for more than the extra power ... maybe that the extra power is a concern. Kinda like if you were lookin at super crotch rockets. Do you buy the 600cc model and not smear yourself all of the road? Or go for the gusto and get the 1000cc monster, so you can scare the crap out of yourself on a regular basis... ( ; I guess if you are into thrill of super crotch rockets, maybe you do need the DC-250...
I dunno... just my buck-32 on the matter...
Thanks, Jim J... Bandit MotorSports

The DC and the UC 250's on your site have the same dimensions. Is this not the case?

Scottfla,
Ha ha... no. I must have used the UC-250 webpage to generate the DC-250 webpage... and then missed changing the overall dims. I will go in and correct it now...
Thanks, Jim J...

Hey thanks for the input. Back when I lost my license on a DWI charge, I got a little 49cc moped. it was just as lemony as the painjob portrayed. Then I went to a local shop that sold 50cc and small frame 150cc bikes. I tried the 150cc and I was hooked. ((( The following is NOT somethng I suggest anyone run out and do,))) but since the 150 looked so much like the 50cc liqour-cycle, I rode it all over the state with no tag or ins just like a 50cc. I tellya it took everything I had to behave myself with 3x the motor under me! Since then I got my license back and now do things by the book, but I still love the concept of big engine in small frame bikes. I don't look to defy death by no means, what I'm lookin for is something that is scooter practical, but can still take an occasional 100mile+ road trip without overheating and melting on the side of the road.

Perhaps the poor judgment in this case could be linked to brain cell damage caused by substance abuse . . as compared to the typical "the laws don't apply to me" renegade mentality.

Yeah well I dried up n got wised up... But I always was ethiclly challenged. I probably wouldn't have if cops actually gave scooterist a 2nd look. A friend of mine with the Sherrifs dept. told me it's hard as hell to clock a scooter with any accuracy even with the laser gun. So unless your downright stupid and fly by goin 60mph on your back tire, ride with no helmet, or appear drunk, they normally won't bother.
