Hey guys, I just put an electric pump into my scooter, but i think it's pumping too much gas into my carb. I have a tube for the exhaust if the carb floods, and well, it does. I think the scooter is fine, but my father seems to think I might have a Carb problem, but I don't see that much. The elecric Fuel pump I am useing is quite big, but another guy on this board said it was what he was using. I am using a Mr. Gasket Micro Electric Fuel Pump. I will tell you what it says, it seems too big for my scoot, and this could be the reaosn why it is flooding. 4,6 and 8 cylinder carb applications. 12 Volt negative gorund system. Universal design. Another guy on this site said he got his from Auto Zone, which is where I found this one. Online, I looked it up before going to purchase it and this is the only one they carry, so this must be the pump they talk about, but it seems to throw my scoot off. I would just like some help, if you guys know what I could so, or where to get a smaller fuel pump please let me know. I am in the Louisiana, the Baton-Rouge area.

You should look into whether its volume or too much pressure that's the problem. Is there a way to reduce the amount of pressure the pump produces? You don't need all that much.

Can you try a manual one again? If you are worried about quality, maybe one made in Japan might be a better choice: tinyurl.com/2kxbxp This one looks pretty universal to me.
