I am new to this site, but I am so glad I found it. This site is a godsend. I have been reading on this site alot about the MC-54 Models, etc, and have found that you guys have answered most of my questions already. THANKS! But there is more!!! You see, here are my real questions.
1.) When I got the scoot delivered, I got it home, fixed it up, added all the liquids I needed etc. I am new to this, so I didn't rip it apart and change things etc. I tried to crank it up, and all it would do is turn over. This went to tell me that the bike was new, and just needed a boost, so i continued to crank it for a bit, not exceeding 3-5 second bursts. It wouldn't crank, and I was immediatly pissed. I eventually got it to crank. It was good to hear that kitten pur, and damn it I was happy. It wa slate at night so I didn't want to bother anyone, so I waited till morning to ride it around. It accelerated nicely, had all the right feels, no pops, or shutters, nothing. Eventually I opened it up a bit wider, not exceeding the 4500 RPM range and eventually it acted like it was running out of gas. It had a full tank. Do you think my problem is with the fuel pump, carb, or ...!!! Most suggestions from other peoples FAQS is that it would be the fuel pump or vac line.
2.) My book told me to use 10-30 Oil, but my sticker on the bike says GL3 or something. I used what the book said, and I was wondering if this could be a problem for the CVT, or could be a problem with my low RPMs, etc...
3.) I would like to know what you guys could tell me about getting better RPM, getting the bike to go faster etc... After I pulled all the cosmetics of my bike, I got it to barebones. I then fiddled with the idle and flow, etc, and I got my bike running smooth, but now it doesn't seem to get over 4000 RPM unless I have it on the stand. When I ride it it doesn't seem to get enough juice to get up and go, like it did a day before, and doesn't seem to go anywhere, after 30MPH. I think the fuel pump or vac. line is crap,I just need to get a Mr. Gadget Fuel Pump, and clean out the lines or buy new lines. What do you guys think?
Also, What do you guys think about All New Sports? I don't have a grudge against them because I havn't had many problems, but there email responces are short and don't give the best advice. What you think?
