What's a good cruising speed for those of you that own a Roketa MC54? Will it cruise at 70mph easily?
I'm not so concerned with top speed but if I buy one, I'd want to be able to cruise at 70mph verified. Is this scooter capable and able to do that?

Scott, Mine has yet to turn over 100 miles as it's not yet tagged, but the best it goes on the flat is about 65; I've seen 75 with a bit of a decline. It may open up a bit after its broken in...

Scottfla; One of the problems with the average Chinese scooter, in any cc category, is that their owners expect more of them than they can reasonably deliver. I own a Bali 250 and have no doubt that it will hit 70 but do I want to do sustained 70 mph cruising on it? No! It just isn't really designed to do so from the standpoint of the engine or suspension. These 250s should not be thought of as Expressway cruisers. I just don't believe they are safe at speeds of 65-75 mph. If you want that type of safe cruising, get one of the name brand scoots with a more refined suspension and larger wheels & tires. The KYMCO Xciting 250 will go a little faster than the Chinese 250s and do it more safely. I bought my 250 to keep up with traffic on the local 55 mph roads that I only rarely travel on. It has the power and reserve to handle those roads adequately. If I wanted to cruise on our local 70 mph Interstate, I would get at least a 400 cc Bergman, or something else similar.

Hmmm, that's good advice, not really what I wanted to hear but probably very good advice I'm not really planning on riding on the interstate much so my cruising speed would probably be closer to 60-65 but that's not much of a drop. I just don't want to spend that much money if I don't have to

Sup Dawg,
I just recently bought my Roketa MC-54 and I have gotten it on the open road and hit 60 no problem, I would usually cruise at 60 anyway, but I have no doubt it will hit 70, within time. I would also like to wait to break in mys coot before I try and go nuts. I think it's 300 miles, then a 1000 and then maybe you can gun it. I think if you want a nice ride, a good look, and and alla round decent scoot, go for the MC-54. It's fun. Mine on the other hand is having fuel pump issues, but apparently almost any scoot will have that. The Chinese scoots more so.
