Headlamps: 2 lights but one is dim and the other is bright. don't work at the same time. can these be wired together so both bulbs are dim and both are bright. Looks stupid going down the road with just one light on.

It would depend if there are double filament bulbs in there. A lot of scooters are going with one on at a time. The Honda Reflex and the '07 Burgman 400 are like that.

My Daelim S-2 250 is like this. I have had a few people tell me a bulb is out in the month I have owned my Daelim. A lot of motorcycles have a separate low and high side.

I don't know. I do know that those that have scooters with one light on and one light off keep getting told that they have a light burnt out. For that reason alone I don't like it. Fortunately my Burgman is a 2003 and both lights work all the time.

I would guess its similar as with a car, which has separate low and high beams. Low on the outside high on the inside either one or the other set is on (in some cases both). Traditionally many motorcycles only have a single headlight with a double filament bulb, as its a narrow vehicle. Many new bikes come with plastic fairings and integrated lights, so they separate low and high beam (more so for style and looks I would guess), but there is no inside and outside just left and right as it is in essence still just a single light. Seems to be a very common set up on many crotch rockets these days.
