What is the smallest 250+cc scooter with a sporty style?
I have a 150cc, but really is about the same frame size as 50cc's.
I would love to find a sporty 50cc frame style scooter with the largest and most powerfull engine stuffed into it.
Any suggestions?

That's exactly what I was looking for when I purchased a RoadRunner Race 250. It has a very favorable power to weight ratio (275 lbs dry weight), it's basically a 150 cc Phantom frame with a 257 cc Linhai/Yamaha engine (copy of the Yamaha Majesty engine), now found on a good few of the touring scoots. The following two are the only main land scoots I have found so far: www.evosales.com/pd_fast_scooter_250cc.cfmwww.baronmotorcycles.com/models_d.asp?m_id=29The black Baron pictured is actually a 150cc, the yellow one pictured looks like it would have the Linhai engine, similar to the Race 250. Edit I just realized Bandit has a couple of new editions to their line up, they now also sell a 250cc in the Racer Shell, even though the pics show the GY6 150cc engine, its listed with the 257 Linhai engine, very nice.www.bandit-motorsports.com/scooters/dc-250z.htmlThen of course there is also a good few 250cc Brand Name Scoots with a good power to weight (and size ratio): Kymco People 250 (367 lbs dry weight) & People S 250 (348 lbs dry weight) (both w/16" wheels) my personal fav's. Kymco Bet & Win 250 The following two actually use(d) the Yamaha Majesty 250 engine: Aprilia Leonardo 250 (320 lbs dry weight) Benelli Velvet 250 (285 lbs dry weight) And of course who could forget Vespa, Piaggio and Gilera. I wouldn't want a 250cc engine in anything smaller though. It's common to have a 150cc engine in a 50cc frame, as a 2 stroke 50cc isn't that different to a 4 stroke 150cc in performance. Andi

Aprilia's new Sport City 250 is pretty small.

HONDA made an Elite with a 250 engine. My friend has one and it will do 80 MPH. have to find a used one though, they quit making them. Average used price about $ 1700.
