For those who are mechanically inclined I could use some help. After parking my Bali 250 a puddly of fluid developed under it. The macji9ne never ran hot. I traced the leak to a hose that comes off the back of the filler neck. On the fron of the filler neck you have a hose that runs to the radiator and the resevoir. I cant figure out where the the hose that comes off the rear nipple of the filler neck goes to. There was a clamp on the end of the loose hose so I know it popped off somewhere. Any assistance would be appreciated...

Look4wisdom; On my Bali CFMoto 250, there is a shout "L" shaped hose (about 2") that comes off the back nipple of the fill neck. It then reduces to a smaller diameter hose that drops down below the carburetor, going toward the right side of the scoot. IIRC, this small hose attaches to a fitting on the carb., circulating coolant through a passage in the carb. I didn't crawl under the scoot to check but I had the carb. off last year and seem to remember that hose. You may have to do a little hunting to find the end of the hose and where it attaches up on the carb. on the right side, I believe. If you are successful and reattach the hose, don't forget to top off the collant, when the engine is cold, to replace any lost. The hose just may not have been attached securely! Hope this helps.

I will look for that fitting on the carb. I know that I lost coolant from a small hose coming off the carb that needed plugging. After I plugged it it ran great until today when it parked and blew coolant from that little hose. I will get under it and see what I caome up with. Thanks Rollie.

If you are still having a hard time, you might try some ultraviolet dye in the coolant. I am not sure if they make it for that purpose or not, but I have seen it used in other places without problems. Just using a black light then might help you find the right area. Tom

I recieved my bali 250 mc-13 and when I try to drain the coolant nothing comes out. When I try to flush the system the water just sits in the filler neck. The hole were the fuse box rests is also melting. I've tried running the bike to force the fluids through, nothing. The radiator cap and the gas tank know sit under the seat. I haven't rode to far so no overheating problems, unless the thermostat isn't working. I don't know if a hose is plugged?, but something is getting pretty hot to melt the plastic. Please help.

If it won't come out of the drain by the water pump you may have to disconnect a hose. You do understand the difference between the radiator cap and the overflow tank I hope.

I do. I pulled the hose from the filler neck to the radiator, some fluid. I then pulled the other hose at the bottom of the radiator that attaches to were the drain plug is. A small amount of fluid. When adding it will slowly go down and sometimes rises up and overflow. Still no drainage from the drain plug. Does it sound like the water pump.I have a second bali and I've changed all the fluids a half dozen times, never any problems.

That is puzzling. You could try forcing water backward through it. It should run out like in the pictures others have posted. There must be some kind of blockage. Maybe take the water pump cover off. Sorry but that's all i've got.

After thinking about it more the thermostat might be clogged or defective. I looked at the Helix manual and the thermostat is located where the hose exits the engine. It must be near the top of the engine. The wires going to the temperature gauge are on the housing.

The strange thing is, I took the scoot for a good twenty minute ride going 40mph all the way. The temp stayed just below the halfway mark. No leaks nor did the engine seem too hot. The temp outside is a good 85 degrees. I emailed tech support at scooterdemand. Waiting to hear back from them??
