I dealt with a man by the name of Dan at minibikesplus.com. He was very congenial, very informative, very concientious and....well so far so good. I am a skeptic by nature, but this man seems genuine. He owns the company. Its out of Detroit area.
My bike arrived today. It had the honda clone as opposed to the yamaha clone. I had the bike shipped to my bike mechanic and he put it together for me, changed all the fluids and tested it for me.. cost me $64.00.
I have 3 problems so far, but people will probably laugh at my problems. Windshield is marred..bout the size of a baseball. The wires to the speakers, well, only one wire works.. both speakers are fine. Spoke with dan tonite and he wants it all "whole" as he said. At the time I didnt' realize i had a 3rd problem but its the stupid right side mirror.. what a junky piece of plastic.. both mirrors were loose and moved out of place while driving. I figured out how to tighten them but only the left one tightened. The right one had plastic that failed to make a tight grip on the ball. Anyway it was torn or something and I am hoping Dan will send one out to me with the windshield. Im not sure why the wires won't both power the speakers. Dan will hopefully have a good sugestion.
The bike is beautiful, its silver. I really love my new Motofino 150, In fact i kind of miss it already even though i still have it..Its peppy and toyish.. It feels like i have gone from a mazda miata to a lincoln town car... i checked the accuracy of the speedometer and guess what.. its right on...had my kid follow me at several speeds for a bit.. For a very brief time the bike went 70 mph but i didnt' keep pushing it as im in the break in period obviously.
The trunk is novel. it does hold my full face helmet.The bike has a great alarm/remote start..
So far im very pleased and im sure my three little problems will be taken care of asap.
I only have about 25 miles on it, but no signs of anything but a cool normal running engine. Has a fan that comes on like a small car..Seat is comfortable. it opens from the side. It has a nice feature in that you call pull on a hook like button to flash your brites off and on like you can for a lane change in the car. no clicking, just pull it toward you and let go as many times and you want to make sure they see you. This bike has 13 inch wheels
