You can get the same scoot new from allnewsports.com for $1780. So maybe you can knock the price down a couple of hundred.
My Viva is running well. The only real issue I have is that the charging system isn't working. i get around hat by recharging the battery each night. Not too big a deal.

Did you by chance remove the battery while it was running? If so did it continue to run? I would look to see what the output voltage is on the wires going to the battery is to see if it is charging. If it is, then just replace the battery. Tom

Tom, Thanks. I di do a voltage check. 12.4 volts whether the motor is running or not. Gary

That sounds to me like it is a little low. While the scooter is running remove the positive wire from the battery, test it without the battery inline, if the voltage is higher in at least the 13.5-13.8v range then just replacing the battery should fix the issue. If it is still 12.4v then you should start to look for the voltage regulator and see if it is shot. Tom

Thanks Tom. I do have a new battery. I suspect that either the voltage regulator or stator are bad, but haven't done a thorough check yet.

If it was the stator it would drain you battery right away and in the matter of mins I bet. I would look at the voltage regulator. Here is what it should look like.

Tom: Thanks for the info. See my separate thread about Porta Jump.
gda: If you are still considering the Viva you should check charging system. Non-charging Vivas/Tanks/etc have been pretty common.

Ok, I'll go check it out the Porta Jump.
That really sucks that it is something common. Tom
