i have a new 2006 people 250. not 'S' 250...
i have a rear rattle, only under acceleration...
i thought it was the chrome plated muffler heat shields..
so i took one off at a time and drive the unit around.. still the rattle persists.. a little ATS training.. (Analytic Trouble Shooting ) what is the problem and what is not the problem..
finally i put it up on the mid kick stand and reved the motor up..
i heard the rattle.. IT WAS COMING OUT OF THE REAR BRAKE CALIPER !!!! then i put my hand on the caliper and shook it around..
so much free play !!! clank clank..
I First thought it was loose.. i was panicked but realized it wasn't loose.. but the design of the caliper allowed free play..
but i am not happy with this rattle it is super annoying..
anybody else have this rattle?
you can put your hand on the caliper and shake it around and feel the free play and create the rattle..
well.. chime in if you have a cure for this..
i am going to take it back to the dealer and ask for some adjustment or replacement with a different caliper.. just can't stand this rattle..

Somewhere a month or so back someone else had a loose rattleing Caliper. There where a set of scerwes that tighten it. First question - are your pads loose? or is it the whole caliper itself, I would not really see the area where it is loose. From what I would try is to see if you can tighten the caliper to the mounting frame that attaches to your bike. The 12mm nut below your pointing finger. Should look like a allen wernch on the wheel side and that bolt. Two of them there. Might have been not properly tightened when they shipped to the asembly factory.

the dealer ship replaced the bracket with a new one and new caliper assembly with new brake pads too...

i guess something was bad with my original bracket or caliper..
but kymco sent in the goods..
