My speedometer cable broke after only 50 mi. I need some tips on how to replace it, it's a Ricardo 250,and do I order a universal cable or try to get an original part?

Hey Slick The same thing happened to me with my 250 Tank Touring. I bought a new cable at The parts place in Georgia and it worked well. Got 700 klicks on the new cable so far. I will tell you though it's not easy to weasle your hands up to the speedometer to swhitch out the cable but it's certainly doable...

I am not too familiar with your brand/model, but I would think anything with your miles would certainly be under warranty.
