I got my race 250 this week, its a great looking scooter however I have a problem. It starts and idles very smoothly, as soon as I throttle a little it dies... The carb I think is either not getting enough gas or not enough air. The fuel lines seem clear, the fuel filter seems fine... I'm not sure what to do . Does anyone know what i should do or adjust or try? thanks mark

There seems to be a recent rash of debris in the Chinese carbs, which can be cleaned, but first test the fuel flow by placing the fuel line from the carb in a cup and starting the scooter to verify good flow when the fuel valve opens. If not, replace the vacuum line to the valve from the intake manifold. Then if it persists, remove the carb bowl, jets and mixture screw and spray all the passages with carb cleaner and blow them out with compressed air and reassemble. that will usually clear the blockage for you. Mine was mostly ok for the first 150 km or so, but now it does not like to stay powered up as much... I was going to get new fuel line in the morning, what is a good line to use? and I am afraid to mess with the carb, are there any online directions for cleaning it out?
