I have never been able to even hit 55 on my Tank on a good straight stretch. The most I get is 53 with it full throttle. Does this sound right? When I got it last year, it seems like it was advertised to at least reach 60.

Leisa touring models are heavy, so it's natural for them to be a bit slower. 53 indicated is pretty slow though. Most of the Chinese speedo's are pretty optimistic so if you check it with a GPS or have someone follow you in a car you'll get a better idea of it's true speed. Never trust the advertisement. Most of the E-Bayers claim 70mph... not on most 150's!

Leisa; You might want this posted in the "150" section.
Yeah, plus or minus 55 on a Touring model would be about right. I had a 150 in the Phantom body style before my 250 Touring style. Even though my Touring style scoot is a 250, there is an obvious difference in weight between this machine and the usual, smaller 150s.

Let's put this into real perspectives. 150 cc's - 50 to 55 mph, 250 cc's - 63 to 70 mph. All of this is your weight and how tall you are. By that I mean this, I am 6'2", 220lbs on a 150cc and do just about 53mph, my wife who is 5'4" 165lbs on the same one does over 55 by a little. You also might not realize this also but the road also make a small difference also, concrete give you a fraction more speed over asphalt in the summertime. So does air temp and density. Be happy with doing over 50mph on your 150cc and drive safe.

I noticed that the 150cc Gran Touring models were using the same maxi scoot frame as the 250s. That's about an 80 pound weight penalty. A good thing perhaps for ride quality, but obviously not so good for top speed.
This is why I wait for GranStrada 260 and what Bikernuc has to say about the Strada SS300.

You got the right amount of speed out of that touring 150. Downhill you might go faster, j/k. Tank 150's no matter how they are advertised do between 50 and 53 mph. Enjoy the ride on it and love the feel of it.
